Damn. One of my favorite fictional presidents. RIP, Deebo.

One of those great character actors who was in a lot of films people grew-up on. Probably best remembered for playing Deebo in Friday, but he was also in The Fifth Element, and The Dark Knight among others. RIP to the OG!!!

Sad, sad loss. Amazing screen presence and brought such an aura to every single one of his characters. And he was an unsung hero who saved Gotham....

I grew up watching Friday. The film has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. It's a very near and dear film to me to this day and a common frame of reference for my family and my friends. The vibrancy of the film would not and could not be the same without the towering threat of Deebo and the instantly commanding presence that Tiny Lister brought to him. Before he even took a chain, just the musical cue and a simple pedestal up showing his menace was all it took to immediately make the character, and himself by extension, iconic. RIP big man.
