How are people placing the ladies of The Hours? Also, FYC Toni Collette: I'm going with the Oscars placement, with Streep also in lead.

could we possibly push this back a couple weeks? I had a lot of movies I wanted to catch up on but haven't had the time yet. If I had to I could throw together a ballot from my old lineups but I wouldn't be happy about it

Speaking of editing, can we get some love for Insomnia for how it cleverly uses editing to simulate how fatigue plays with the mind? Also, nominations for Robin Williams, the cinematography and the score would be nice to.

Williams is good and all, but this is my favorite post-2000 Pacino performance, and the one time this millennium that he has actually seemed to care.

Rupert Grint in Chamber of Secrets, lead or supporting? I'd say supporting. I won't be voting for him either way though.

Maybe the best year for Original Scores that I can think of right now. Any combination of 5 from below world be an extraordinary lineup. Unbelievable year for the category, damn near impossible to whittle down
25th Hour Catch Me If You Can Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Hero The Hours Millennium Actress Punch-Drunk Love Road to Perdition Signs Solaris

Any makeup/hairstyling FYC? I've got nothing. Post pics if possible as a memory aid.
Edit: Well, I have one: Goldmember. Two Towers is also good.

And though I'm sadly not voting for it in any categories, can we all agree that Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course would win BP in a perfect world?

In addition to those, I would add two that are easily among the three best of the year for me: Far from Heaven (composed by Elmer Bernstein) and Frida (composed by Elliot Goldenthal).

A final song FYC as I'm discovering that I prefer this to the other songs people are recommending:
The first Katakuris song is "Positive Life."

There has been a request to push this back to March or even April. I'm not wild about delaying it so much, but if it will help get more and better ballots, it might be worth it. I'd like to know what you guys think.

I'd like to know what you guys think. I'd be fine with it, but only if it forces people to actually watch more than the usual suspects. Some of the choices the last few rounds have been (not to put too fine a point on it) rather basic.
