“I don’t eat pizza often, but when I do it makes me so fuckin happy” - Selina Meyer
Been on a kick lately. I really don’t eat pizza that often. I looove it so much. I generally prefer a white sauce, but options tend to be more sparse. A chicken, bacon, ranch pizza is my absolute jam. Love me a supreme and of course just a classic pepperoni. I will never understand a plain cheese pizza ( what’s the goddamn point?).
As far as the main chains go, Domino’s wins out everytime. I recently discovered this hole in the wall in MPLS that makes the best deep-dish cast iron pizzas called The Chatterbox Pub.

We don't have that many choices here, really just Domino's and Pizza Hut, and out of those two it's Domino's every time.
In terms of toppings, the more meat the better.
Wait...

I've been eating pizza every Saturday night for as long as I can remember (a tradition that my parents started when I was younger). Can't live without it... if I made a list of favorite things in life, the top 3 would be music, movies, and pizza. I'm weird though and actually like plain cheese pizza the most (I'm basically Kevin McCallister). The way I see it, in order to rank high among my fave pizza joints, your plain cheese pizza needs to be able to stand on its own and not have to hide behind a landfill's worth of toppings that obscures how mediocre the pizza actually is. NY style all the way for me - floppy, foldable, big slices that hang off the side of the plate. Unfortunately the place where I live at the moment doesn't have a ton of great pizza places. Haven't eaten pizza from a chain in a long time, but if forced to choose, I also go with Domino's. What kind of crusts do people prefer? There's a place that I go to that makes pizza with like cracker-thin crust that I'm not a huge fan of, but I deal because it's the closest to my apartment and convenient. I also don't like the crust to be be too doughy... I like it crispy.

NY style more than Chicago style.......if anybody lives near NYC you can go to Di Fara in Brooklyn which I used to go to every time I could ........legendary place worth a special trip and lives up to the hype.......old school baby. In general.....meat over veggies but bacon (or ham), onions and green pepper is always a good default but often I just go plain, depends on the place. I can eat any pizza......try to avoid the chains ......eat it constantly as Pacino says in Panic in Needle Park about French Fries "that's why I look so good" and it inspired these geniuses ammirite?

Pizza Hut is the one I prefer although I don't eat pizza very often.
I guess I prefer the BBQ type or something like that.

Oizza Hut is the one I prefer although I don't eat pizza very often. I guess I prefer the BBQ type or something like that. Pizza Hut has withdrawn from Greece. They closed all their restaurants here several months ago. But we still have the cheap but shitty quality of Pizza Fan.

I always prefer homemade pizza. Homemade is always better, especially when you put some pineapple on top.

Lou Malnatis deep dish is amazing (even if I don’t eat it too frequently). Love a good white pizza. Other than that try to find local spots rather than franchises. Pretty open to most toppings outside of mushrooms.

Dimitri's ("funguy" w/'nduja), Bella Brutta (pepperoni), Mary's Pizzeria (pepperoni), Al Taglio ('80s margherita), La Coppola (margherita), Renzo's (tartufo)... second only to NYC. As for the other portion of the question... Detroit-style pizza is what pizza always wanted to be.

I like Brixx too, though it always annoyed me that their pies are kind of small, so you end up having to order several of them if you're splitting with a group of people, plus I seem to remember them being kind of pricey.

I use to eat Pizza Hut a long, long time ago, but at least here, their restaurants have all gone down hill. I don’t know for some reason Domino’s has never tasted that good to me even after they made a big deal out of improving the taste. Papa John’s is okay. They have a lot of deals, but at least to me, I feel like the quality of their ingredients has gone down a lot. Donatos, which was featured on Undercover Boss, but isn’t as big as the other chains mentioned is usually good but a little pricier than the other chains. I’ve tried several mom and pop pizza shops around me, but they’re just okay to me, nothing special for me to go back to unfortunately.

I usually go for either pineapple or meat lovers (pepperoni, sausage, bacon, ham, and whatever else they've got). Generally stick with local pizza. Pizza hut is the only of the chains that's half decent.

Today, I just read some sad and appalling news about my favorite NC pizza chain Cugino Forno, which happens to make the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Apparently, a Department of Labor investigation discovered that they paid workers as little as $1.19 an hour, denied them overtime pay, and took their tips. No other restaurant I’ve been to in NC comes close to how good their pizza is, but now I can’t go back there as much as it pains me.

You mean that after a whole day of work workers can barely buy a slice of their own pizza?
