I liked much of Nayman's 2000s writing for Reverse Shot, but I find him entirely too credulous and uncritical about PTA. I perused a preview of this book. He can't actual call to mind and trace the sensation of watching any particular PTA film. Just more thematic hand-waving when most of the films fail in basic structure and conception. But whatever.
