I've heard some people say it's the worst movie, but I couldn't disagree more. Yes, it has a lot of flaws and it's easy to nitpick, but I'd be lying if I'd say it wasn't entertaining. Also, I can see that Ed Wood had some passion in it when he made it. For me, the worst movie has to be something that's not entertaining and doesn't have any passion. I would take that film over a lot of shitty films made since the 21st century.

Like The Room or Manos in that there are a few unintentionally funny moments but otherwise not much of redeeming value. The funniest scene for me is when the head alien says it's time to annihilate all the humans or something to that effect and then his wife says "You're always right" in a corny 50's sitcom housewife voice

Like The Room or Manos in that there are a few unintentionally funny moments but otherwise not much of redeeming value. See that's where I have my disagreements. 1) I wouldn't put Manos as the same league as The Room or Plan 9 because it's not really an unintentionally funny aside from a few moments. 2) The redeeming value in The Room and Plan 9 as I said before is that they're really funny and both films had passion from the director/artist unlike Manos which was made because someone made a bet to someone that he thought he could make a film. Also, since you bought it up, I'd like to think that both The Room and Plan 9 are horrible (or so horrible, it's awesome) but for different reasons. The Room is horrible because of the bad acting and writing while Plan 9 is horrible because of the bad directing.
