That went as well as it possibly could have gone. Tanaka is always going to be inconsistent over the course of the regular season after that injury but he is such a boss in the playoffs. Not changing my prediction, this is the ideal pitching matchup for us so I thought we'd win it, but we needed this one to have any chance.
Great to see them attack the bullpen with 4 runs in the last three innings. That's going to be the key to victory with their great starters.

After four scoreless innings for NY, I turned the TV off but then quickly tuned back in after they tied it in the 9th. Guess I should have left the TV off after all... so many wasted opportunities to get ahead this series with men continuously left on base.
While the Yankees have no one to blame but themselves for their loss, the umpire for this last game was pretty garbage.
That was a weird series. Never thought I'd see the road team win all 7 games (although didn't it happen in basketball one time? Feels like there was a Mavs-Rockets series in the mid 2000's where the home team didn't win until game 7)
Also, wish Joe Buck hadn't gotten into the "they didn't put in Cole" second guessing. If they'd put him in and he'd lost everyone would be killing the manager for using a starter in relief too. Ask the Dodgers how that usually works out.
