A little clip with translation for non-Spanish speakers!
"We will have to wait for future movies to see Scarlett Johansson and Margot Robbie sharing scenes
For now, Adrien Brody and Margot Robbie is Wes Anderson's partner for these last days of filming in Chinchón"

Anderson’s latest is a poetic meditation on the meaning of life. It tells the story of a fictional American desert town circa 1955 and its Junior Stargazer convention, which brings together students and parents from across the country for scholarly competition, rest/recreation, comedy, drama, romance, and more.
Somewhat of a plot, and new cast additions:
Willem Dafoe, Edward Norton, Steve Carell

Hanks looks right at home in Anderson-land. As for the rest: As expected. Maybe as hoped for.

Where are Robbie and Bill Murray? Robbie filmed for like a couple of days, and Murray isn't in the film at all.

Wes Anderson should have his own hospitality brand.
Book your stay at the Grand Budapest Hotel or a submarine cruise with Steve Zissou or luxury Darjeeling Limited train ride, or maybe do some fishing at the Moonrise Kingdom Campgrounds, play with your furry friend at the Isle of Dogs Dog Park, and now you can hang out in the desert and be abducted by aliens at the retro-themed Asteroid City theme park

This looks pretty solid which is a relief, lost some faith in him after French Dispatch and Isle of Dogs. Should at least be an improvement over those which isn't hard to do. Like that he gave Schwartzman a lead again, been hoping for that for a while instead of him just getting cameos. He and Scarlett make a cool couple. If the movie is well received maybe it will lead to a lead for him with another top director. Should be plenty of cameos though with how long that cast list took to scroll down Still wish he'd do something punk rock and cool again like Rushmore and Tenebaums instead of being so twee but maybe he's gotten too old for that. Hanks's part looked like it could have been intended for Murray. Wonder if he turned it down or if Wes backed off him with his recent personal issues. Always want to stay in a suite at the Lindbergh Palace when I watch. It's like the perfect archetypal New York hotel that doesn't exist.

Murray dropped out because he got Covid, and then all the allegations happened, so it was a double whammy.

I watched the trailer twice. I got a “meh” vibe. Didn’t hate it or love it. Looks overstuffed with characters and plot lines. We will see. I enjoy his stuff, except for The French Dispatch (reminded me of the trailer) and The Fantastic Mr. Fox.

By that, I mean you can tell there is a story rather than just snippets of one.

This looks like if Wes Anderson directed Close Encounters of the Third Kind
