"Taxi Driver", "Raging Bull", "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", "Hardcore", "The Lost Boys", 'Primal Fear", "Bridge to Terabithia", "The Fugitive", "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid", "Last Detail", "Fingers" just to name a few..
Damn. His work with Scorsese really did make all the difference, and frankly, I think Richardson and Prieto never came close to evoking what the Michaels (Chapman and Ballhaus) were able to do with him.
Oh man this death hurt more than I expected. His work was understated yet extremely powerful and striking with Taxi Driver being a landmark achievement. It’s cinematography snub will always baffle me.....just an absolute disgrace.
