Whoever created it on social media in the last 3 years sucks.

I stayed out of the previous argument about "Karens" because I stay out of social media and didn't know that this term existed until people talked about it here. But I remember Pac going on about how it's a racist term, and now I see a film described as "a racist, entitled white woman in the South who terrorizes her new African-American neighbors." Sounds like a racist caricature to me.

The radical leftists now running Hollywood -- many who are self-loathing whites, with major white guilt and a white savior complex -- are such hypocrites and politically tone-deaf.

Nobody in the real world uses that term... it's confined to social media which lots of people of any age don't use. If you used Karen randomly outside, most people would be like "Karen who?" Martin_Stett's never heard of it either. So....hard fail.

One of my friends that works at the salon will make a little joke about a karen that came, and everyone seems to know what she’s talking about when she brings it up. It’s just a way to call someone a micomanaging bitch. I never said it was a majority of the population that uses it, that would be impossible to know unless some type of study was done. All I can really use are anecdotal experiences.

Again, I feel very bad for all the good women named Karen. Since America is so in love with labelling everything, might this be called name appropriation?

Nobody I meet have any signs of sjw/social media attitudes. Its not a majority of the population. So for me a ‘Karen’ is someone that makes a scene in public because they feel entitled. Like yelling at a waiter for something really trivial and demanding a manager and expecting the meal to be comped 100% because they didn’t want chickpeas in their salad. Or the new wave of people refusing to wear a mask when a business says they’re required and starts screaming about it. That’s how me and my wife refer to them at least, don’t think it’s really a SJW thing as I don’t really fall into that bucket.

Said it before and as I'm prone to do I'll repeat myself (um)..... - "Karen" is racist/sexist. Period. No one agreed with me then but I hardly care about that do I - the name "Karen" is used because it's a white female name (most often) and for those geniuses out there who don't think it's racist, it's specifically ascribing negative attributes to people of one race (and gender, most often) solely to mock them. It's racism by definition. Don't think so? Could the term "Karen" be played by an African American in this dumb-ass movie? Nope...... like I said back then I do get the joke, I've used the joke, I've laughed at it............ But you (and I) won't think its so funny when real racists turn this around and ascribe gross stereotypes to a black guy they will call "Tyrone" who is always blaming all his problems on "systemic racism". You'd be right too to be horrified/revolted by that.....so everybody needs to knock it off - the sooner this "Karen" thing dies in our culture - our culture will be a whole lot fncking better.

What if your daughter were named Karen and you heard someone using that name in a derogatory way? www.insider.com/karen-meme-origin-the-history-of-calling-women-karen-white-2020-5Apparently the most popular theory is that the meme started from a Dane Cook stand-up routine in 2005. Adding to Pittsnogle, it's also used to describe a white woman that unjustly calls the police on black people or other minority groups such as Amy Cooper from the Central Park incident a couple of months back. I know the meme is used on Black twitter alot so you'll have to ask them or other whites who use the meme as well.

My aunties name is Susan and saw the memes about her name and just laughed it off. Hell, my name is Ethan and is used a lot of the time in memes too as a “white privileged male” and I could give two fucks. Sure, it’s not to the extent that Karen is used, but still. I think people are making a way bigger deal out of this than it needs to be. Here’s a couple of examples: I’m not one bit offended. It’s just a name.
