De Niro and Walken playing dodgeball on trampolines... HYPE.
Looks fun tbh.

Oh, this is why Nicky shot himself -- he saw this movie in his and Michael's future.

Less than 5 .......maybe more like a 4/10. This actually could have been good (and mean) with a little thought - a sort of Tin Men for kids .......and instead they really messed this up in several ways. Everyone is wasted including Walken and Thurman - just seeing his Mad Dog and Glory lover as his daughter is weird and his war buddy from The Deer Hunter is like a weird trainwreck of missed opportunities/jokes.........why not have Thurman as his wife and a running gag about how he got really old "all of a sudden" The kid is a charmless brat, and the whole thing runs out of gas pretty quick........I did like the setup though and his incident that gets him in the house in the first place (a self-checkout disaster/old people revolt). De Niro's granddaughter is pretty adorable too and gets the movie's best line about De Niro's marble collection when he tells her "they're special" she says "They're not magic, people always think things are magic ........and they're not". Indeed....

This is what we get because of the awards bodies not nominating DeNiro last year for The Irishman.

Not for the snob crowd... and definitely not for the "every De Niro opinion I have is plebby" crowd... but I mostly had fun with it. Some stunningly stupid moments, and it definitely could've been better... but I'd be lying if I said I didn't do a decent amount of laughing. De Niro calls a self checkout machine "boring" and throws a container of yogurt like a grenade in the first 5 minutes of the movie... lol. He's quite funny overall with some nice moments of heart too. And I can't fathom someone thinking Walken was wasted here... almost every line delivery from him made me laugh. "No aiming for the junk." Uma had some funny moments too... especially that weird ass scene where she almost went into Kill Bill mode. Ending sucked bigtime though... bizarrely bad.

That was bad...
It had its funny moments but they were very few. Walken, Seymour and Marin... what a waste of great actors. Thurman also, although she had a funny Kill Bill-type scene.
Around 5,5/10.
Oh, I almost forgot. Chuck was the man!!!

5/10. Actually expected something a bit more exaggerated and fun, the director (creator of Spongebob) helms this all mildly and awkwardly. Performances are eh, except Walken who's visibly having a good time with this and has a lot of funny little lines - my favorite is his delayed response to Cheech, "The free skiing you will not do."
