I agree that Kelly Macdonald was Oscar worthy in Gosford Park, but should have been over Maggie Smith. Mirren should have won. And Kristin Scott Thomas over Maggie Smith, but i just choose one change per film.- Also Ralph Fiennes over Rachel Weisz or the Constant Gardiner, and worst by all she even won the Oscar.-

I don't think they were wrong in nominating Woody Harrelson in The Messenger, but if that film had to only get one nomination, I would've preferred if it was Ben Foster. Yeah yeah, I know, different categories.

Alan Alda deserved a nomination waaaaay more than Laura Dern. He did so much than she did with even smaller screen time. He felt like a real human being I've seen millions of times.Oh and Ray Liotta too! I personally wouldn't have nominated Alda or Liotta but they made more of an impact on me than Dern's nothing performance.

In the Heat of the NightSidney Poitier should've gotten the nomination...maybe not instead of Rod Steiger, but he definitely should've been nominated as well. Guess Who's Coming to Dinner from the same year kinda falls into this same category as well. Poitier was snubbed again for his white co-star which, considering the subject matter of both films, is pretty inexcusable. I think that Poitier didn't get nominated that year because of his 3 (!) leading roles, which probably split his votes. The Academy obviously liked him enough, as he was already a winner by then.

I like Geena Davis in The Accidental Tourist, but I like Kathleen Turner more.

Renner was better than Cooper in American Hustle.

Christoph Waltz in Django Unchained instead of DiCaprio or Samuel L. Jackson. They DID nominate Waltz, though....
