John Saxon has passed away at 84 y/o. How many actors have shared the screen with Brando and Bruce Lee? I mean, he was in Black Christmas, Nightmare on Elm Street, Tenebre, and worked with Bava too...... Any fav roles he's had?

I didn't realize just how popular he became in the '50s. Apparently by 1958 he was receiving 3,000 fan letters a week - that year he costarred with Debbie Reynolds (This Happy Feeling) and won a Golden Globe for Most Promising Newcomer, and he also did two movies with Sandra Dee. So he was this teen idol, contracted to Universal who were really trying to turn him into the new Dean at the same time...... Only shortly after this he started turning to odder character work and European productions and gravitating all around the horror and sci-fi genre so memorably. He was a bonafide black belt too.....

RIP...
A very recognizable character actor.
My fav performance of him was in Appaloosa but he also had a few other distinct roles: In Beverely Hills Cop, in that Nightmare on Elm Street movie, in Enter the Dragon...

He wasn't a great actor per say, but he got the job done. He also started out as a bit of teen idol type even, as you've pointed out. I'll remember him most for playing Nancy's father in A Nightmare On Elm Street. RIP!!!
Also MITCHELL!!!

I remember him most mememorably in the Bigfoot epsiodes of "The Six Million Dollar Man." He tried to get Sasquatch to kill Jamie! My childhood crush that still stands till today. I had no idea he was a hottie in his teens.
