And try to stay within relevant films, please. Don't say "he was upstaged by Blythe Danner and Jessica Alba in Little Fockers"...... meh.
Among these choices, the only one I prefer the actress to DeNiro is Boulting and Russell in the Last Tycoon, Sanda in 1900, and Weld in Once Upon a Time in America. Those bland performances from DeNiro where he didn't do much. I prefer Bracco in Goodfellas too because I think DeNiro just served the part in that movie, but I don't think it's memorable work from him.
Every other performance I named here I prefer DeNiro. An argument can be made for possibly Foster though. If I missed some choice on the top of your head, I'm sorry.

By Stone in Casino and by Fonda in Jackie Brown but imo mostly by Minnelli in NY, NY. I think he was terribly miscast in this one.
Also, Pfeiffer was great in Wizard of Lies but so was Bobby. On the other hand, his role was quite small in The Good Shepherd, in which Angelina's performance was very solid.
(Who voted for Raging Bull and Taxi Driver?????)

(Who voted for Raging Bull I did. Moriarty and especially Pesci swept the floor with him in that, and that's a performance of De Niro's I actually quite like.

Can we just agree that all questions involving DePac or um.....Denzel Washington actually .......be addressed solely to me because I'm kinda the expert on all 3 of those gentlemen and if you even dream about topping my insights, well as Harvey Keitel quoting Muhammad Ali said in Reservoir Dogs.......... "You better wake up and apologize" The correct answer is Falling in Love - equal role, very lightweight script particularly back then when he wasn't cashing checks and he's fine/ok, BUT Streep is straight up great even opposite the doofus playing her husband from the awful show "thirtysomething" - which was a woke culture bullsh it show before it was cool........and it still isn't cool........ but that's not the point is it? Streep is great in Falling In Love in ways this board will never understand because this board CONSTANTLY rewards the role and the movie and rarely the actor.....yet we love to talk about actors boy........we love to talk about GOATs and blah blah blah being "miles better" and all sorts of stuff that drives pacinoyes insane ...........in fact just run all acting polls like this by me first because I can't even with you people any more as the kids say. ducks, runs for cover.......

a couple of these for sure, but I voted for Lewis in Cape Fear because he was awful in that and she was great. Other good examples are Anne Heche in Wag the Dog and J-Law in Silver Linings Playbook. And I don't remember him in Marvin's Room at all (maybe it was a tiny role), but it's safe to say Keaton and Streep are better in that.

Dude your RB takes continue to be absolutely nuclear lol Eh, I don't think it's that explosive a take coming from me. I've always been vocal that I find De Niro's Scorsese collaborations to be overpraised beyond belief, which is evidently blasphemy in certain circles. Raging Bull is my second or third favorite of his works with Marty, depending on how I feel about Mean Streets on a given day. But I find him generally inconsistent within the movie itself; I prefer him as LaMotta after he's gone to seed, as I feel like that's where the film really lets him do his thing. For the bulk of the movie, though, I just find what he's doing to be technically impressive but I just don't really find him as interesting as what Moriarty and Pesci are doing.

Not really, though I might slightly prefer Streep in "Falling in Love", if I'd spend or waste time to think about that film.
