For me it's probably 2012 on the sheer all-time strength of DDL and Phoenix alone. Washington and Cooper are also absolutely wonderful, while Jackman is pretty good.
2013 is close though - all five guys are pretty awesome.

Affleck and Washington is a one-two punch too enticing to ignore..

switch out DiCaprio for Hanks and 2013 would be perfect.

Actually, 2019. The other years all have at least one very bad apple. All 2019 performances are decent at very least.

Bale can suck a fuck, but the rest of the 2013 lineup is *chef's kiss*

2013 was such a stacked year for lead actor. There were guys who didn't even get nominated who could have won other years. Ejiofor and Dern are both among the best of the decade.

Man, if Garfield were nommed for Silence instead of Hacksaw Ridge in 2016 that would easily be the best lineup. 2013 wins this.

2010 is pretty terrific. Firth and Bardem might be two of my top 3 of all those 50 performances (the third is Day-Lewis in Lincoln). And I really love Eisenberg and Franco in their roles as well (despite usually being no fan of either). 2016 is fantastic as well.

oh shit, forgot Bale was in 2013. I guess I'll change my answer to 2017 then. No bad performances there. DDL and Chalamet are all-timers, Kaluuya and Washington are both super solid, and Oldman is overhated. Every other year has at least one minus but 2017 doesn't have any.
