Page (Pope of Greenwich Village) ; Manville (Phantom Thread)
Both at ~60 here - both nodded and both clearly support...............these 2 performances have big followings on this board it seems. Manville's sole nomination, Page's 7th (!) in only ~ 22 film roles at the time - which is one of the historic paces in a film career: even rivaling Streep (if you stop them at a similar total: Streep (9 nods in 22 roles) or Pacino (8 nods in 18 roles) Who do you like? I expect this to be much closer than our recent ones in this poll (DeNiro/Plummer, Farnsworth/Dern)......

Funnily enough, both are my wins but both tie with other actresses for it (Kinski for Page, de Armas for Manville). So this is an interesting comparison that makes much more sense than the last one.
On this score, I'll say Page because she does so much with a lot less than what Manville's given, although my answer may well change in five minutes.

Maybe, just maybe, I prefer Page a bit more. But I'm not sure...

Oooh, both are absolutely delicious but Page has the edge.

Manville is very good, but Page is scorching great in I think a GOAT contending brief perf at only 5mins (compared to 25m Manville), but she's dynamite in that distressed haze of hers, with touches like kissing the rosaries.....
