That's right, another poll! Because no one ever gets sick of these, right?? ... I was thinking of doing a Screenplay poll next, but then this emerged instead. A lot of people seemed to "like" my post in the Top 10 Cinematography thread where I suggested this, and surely y'all weren't actually "liking" my picks and not the suggestion! Anyway ... maybe I'll do a Screenplay poll neeeext, but for now, I think it's time for this bad boy. This board after all spends too much time talking about the people in front of the camera ... let's honor the camera itself! Rules are simple: Send me a list of your top 25 films with the best cinematography. Really no restrictions on what qualifies here other than that it's exclusive to feature films (no miniseries). Deadline is super subject to change, but for now I'll say voting closes on July 19th. There's other stuff in the meantime, so be sure to vote in Top Films of the 2000s poll, Top 50 of 2019, and the 2019 AMARAs if you haven't done so yet. In the meantime ... FYCs and whatnot, you know what to do. Happy voting! Ballots Received1. stephen * 2. JangoB * 3. coop032 * 4. getclutch * 5. Great idea! I think there are a lot of obscure films with incredible cinematography that in my opinion definitely deserve a place on this list, which unfortunately not many people on here have seen. Here are some films to consider: The Red And The White (1967) Red Psalm (1972) Alexander The Great (1980) Three Crowns Of The sailor (1983) City Of Pirates (1983) Yeelen (1987) I'll post more later.

Oh, yes, definitely second this. (Though I even don't know yet, if this makes my list). Might be Wongs most gorgeous looking film and that's saying quite something, cause I love the cinematography of In the Mood for Love as well.

and I don't think enough people have seen it to have traction, but Letter Never Sent has some of the most beautiful visuals I've ever seen. I don't know how Sergey Urusevsky pulled off some of these shots.

Just sent my list. I just want to give another mention of Raul Ruiz' Three Crowns Of The Sailor (1983), which has some of the most unique framing and shot composition I've ever seen.
