I know it's just a YouTube video, but I think that list brings to light just how many actresses are Oscarless. I always thought the majority of them already had an Oscar at this point, but nooooooooo.... there are seriously a bunch left. Like, a lot.
Btw, I don't agree with most of this list either. Seems pretty recent. Pfeiffer was seriously left off.

So many missed opportunities.
Close - not her biggest fan but she was deserving in 87 and 88. Weaver - Working Girl should've been an easy win. Pfeiffer - was the favorite in 89. Judy Davis - how the hell did she lose for Husbands and Wives? Kathleen Turner - would've made for a great winner in 86. Ullmann - deemed ineligible for Scenes from a Marriage.
More recently, Huppert shoulda won.
Garbo wasn't even nominated for Queen Christina... Oscar was an idiot from the start.
It's a miracle when a great actress does win - Magnani, Signoret etc.

Agree with Turner from the nominees, and Pfeiffer was certainly worthy in '89 and again in '92 but strong categories. Finally in '93 it was her chance to kinda win one, but Holly Hunter was not gonna be stopped. Huppert still has lots of chances left , as does Close. Starting with this year, I can see one of the two: Adams or Close winning (they're in that Ron Howard film.)

Just wanted to mention Michelle Williams who is very much the Pacino of her generation - or Dafoe - in that she has no Oscar - many feel she's the best American actress of her generation (I do and I said that on here before Fosse/Verdon too dammit!) and her younger rivals all have one (Stone, Olson, Portman, Lawrence, Hathaway)......she is in a precarious position - about to turn 40......not a great beauty or overt big star....she may be at her peak RIGHT NOW.....she maybe you could say is past her peak ...... ........she'll be fascinating to watch. She was attached to a lot of baity stuff at one point.....

Close, Davis and Garbo are the most obvious ones imo.

Oh honey, and myself... but a lot of the legendary icons are Oscar less: Marlene Dietrich, myself, Judy Garland, myself, and Ava Gardner... Oh, and did I say that I haven't got one?

Pacinoyes - Elizabeth Olsen doesn't have an Oscar. Neither does her sisters.
Ms_Movie_Star - Good call on Dietrich. She's probably the best actress in the academy's circle without an Oscar. She's in my Top 10 favorites.
And..... oh snap. Is Deborah Kerr seriously Oscarless? I catch on slower I guess. Thinking about it, I guess 1956 and 1960 were probably her best chances. The competition weren't too strong but in 1953, 1957, and 1958 I think Hepburn, Woodward, and Hayward had the award at the very start. I still forget she didn't play the lead in Imitation of Life. I see that movie through the prism of her actual presence as lead in the film.

Garbo and Stanwyck are the most egregious omissions for a win imo, with both at the top of my list of best actresses. As mentioned above, Garbo was not even nominated for her iconic performance in Queen Christina, and she was also overlooked for nominations for both Anna Karenina and Grand Hotel.
I agree with the Deborah Kerr mention and I would also include Gene Tierney, who was only nominated once.
Out of currently working actresses, I would firstly include Isabelle Huppert.

I'll include only currently living, working actresses (otherwise Maggie Cheung and Monica Vitti would place)...
Isabelle Adjani Glenn Close Judy Davis Catherine Deneuve Kirsten Dunst Gong Li Isabelle Huppert Charlotte Rampling Kristin Scott Thomas Liv Ullmann
HMs aplenty, but most especially for Samantha Morton.

I don't want to live in a world where Nicole Kidman has an Oscar but MsMovieStar doesn't. 😭

Oh honey, I have come really close to getting an Oscar... several times actually... but the problem is in the last few years they've really clamped down on security. It's much harder to get them these days.
