Didn't see a thread about her passing. Irm Hermann, a Fassbinder essential didn't say a word in The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant and yet every scene belongs to her and her eloquent gaze - the only time she's the front and center is when she decides to go -..... In dozens of films she shaped different / immense characters, even when they were small. Good bye ! a nice remembrance from the Criterion website

I'll always love her from The Merchant of Four Seasons which has to be the most despairing Fassbender film ever - contemplate THAT for a minute - I mean your mother wishes you Death BEFORE the opening credits - where she she is utterly despicable professionally, sexually, morally what's a man to do but drink. RIP She was a welcome acting presence in Fassbender's troupe of regulars indeed......
