When you say "no composers," does that mean all original instrumental albums are out?

When you say "no composers," does that mean all original instrumental albums are out? Depends. If it’s something like Joe Satriani it would count

In the last couple of weeks I FYC'd for Joyce Manor - Never Hungover Again and Jeff Rosenstock - Worry - 2 records I doubt will make it - but one that I expect might do well maybe that is similar is Car Seat Headrest - Teens of Denial - a very long and very epic statement of purpose it forms a kind of fncked up trilogy with the other 2 records......these didn't rank that high for me (they were in the 20s) but for some reason it would make me feel good if young people listened to these in the 2010s. A friend of mine recommended the song Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales off this album about a year ago and it really wasn’t bad. So yea this album’s got a good chance of making my ballot

While I think there's a lot of really good albums from the decade, there's a lack of truly great albums for me. Really, the only two albums I'd consider all time greats from the decade would be My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and good kid, M.A.A.D city. It's not a weak decade by any means, on the contrary, it just lacks all timers.

I'll also throw an FYC to Scott Walker's Bish Bosch. If you want to hear real avant garde music give this a shot. The first time I listened to it I was in awe. The instrumental backing is atonal strings and horns, clanging on broken pianos, some distorted rock guitar, and rhythm sections from Latin music or freaky jazz. The track below in spoilers is one of the more normal tracks on the album, it's a wild ride. The first couple comments are hilarious- "It's like Captain Beefheart meets David Bowie in hell" and "Can't even get high to this"

I'm actively trying to catch up on albums so it may be sometime before I throw a ballot together but that's what three months of spotify premium are for, right? in the meantime, FYI Sophie's Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides

Charged thru as many 2010 albs I could over the last week and finalized my list! Here are a few more FYCs by the double, not yet mentioned (the Ikes are on Youtube for those who are unfamiliar)... Ike Reilly - Crooked Love Ike Reilly - Born on Fire Arctic Monkeys - Suck It And See Arctic Monkeys - AM Spoon - They Want My Soul Spoon - Transference an extra FYC to The Libertines - Anthems for a Doomed Youth (almost forgot about if it wasn't for Viced post - and a re listen sealed it as a legit top tier contender) also a late addition to my list was Jeff Rosenstock's Worry - pacinoyes shoutout!!! Not a bad minute over its 17 songs - some (Festival Song, Wave Goodnight, Rainbow (ska roots peek in), etc) are totally catchy and reminded me of those fun aughts songs I grew up on but then his lyrics are up to the minute, there's a lot pressing on his mind, and he can soothe it right slyly by you or let it rip. Didn't know Long Island had it in 'em....

Worry would flat out win this poll if it was "best album title....... mixed with the photo chosen for the album cover that perfectly represents the title" I mean you can't pose for a better picture for a record with that name (it's an actual photo from his wedding I think that he stumbled across iirc)

STOP. The FYC's in this thread hurt me in their absence of Rock bands with you know guitars and drums and corny stuff like that and yeah it wasn't a great decade but ..... Would you submit a 70s list without Unknown Pleasures on it? A 90s list without Definitely Maybe? Or a 00s list without Is This It on it? Because that's what you'll be doing if you leave off Fontaines D.C.'s debut Dogrel......don't make me yell at you.

@redhawk10 and avnermoriarti , I'm not seeing your names on the "ballots received" list. Come on, if not for us voters, do it for Joaquim. After all, both of you said you were going to vote this time And while I'm into this, why not one final FYC to this great, great album:
