A limited series... just what I wanted her to do! Undine Spragg is an absolutely wild name for a protagonist though... lol. She finished On the Rocks before the quarantine shutdown too... so I'd have to assume we'll be getting that this year one way or another.

My first thought was Elle Fanning, but she has wanted to work with Maya Hawke before - one of the reasons she left her Little Mermaid project was because the producers were demanding Chloe Grace Moretz, and Sofia wanted Hawke. We'll see!

Plot-wise, that was the book from Edith Wharton I was most interested in seeking out. And I did, though I can't read her novels unfortunately, they're too cold.
Of course this sounds like a great project for her. Actually I thought Elle Fanning sounded more suited to On the Rocks. And since Marie Antoinette was made out to be like that, of course she'd be my favorite or runner-up for being cast in that too. No idea who I'd cast here.... but my first thought was Rachel Brosnahan.

We'll see! Elle Fanning was my go-to answer. We know from The Great that she's down to headlining a TV limited series, and she'd sure do anything with Sofia. But Hawke is also a tempting answer. Not only she was her choice to play TLM, but her mom Uma was once attached to this role in a now-dead project. But yeah, Scanlen could be a good choice as well! I need to read this book ASAP.

Apparently Emilia Jones has been meeting with Sofia recently.

Vogue: How 9 Directors Are Transforming the Met’s Period Rooms for “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”"“The idea is to bring the museum to life,” says Coppola, who was assigned the intricately paneled staircase where she’s sitting, along with the adjacent Worsham-Rockefeller Dressing Room, both of which highlight the emergence of New York as the fashion center of the United States during the late 19th century—a natural fit for Coppola, currently at work on adapting Edith Wharton’s The Custom of the Country. “It invites the audience in,” she says of the animated vignettes. “Hopefully you get lost in the moment of each space.”"

And yet... flop after flop... you allow Ridley Scott a $200 million budget for Napoleon? Edit: LaraQ - Did you see this?

What a shame. Napoleon was a dumpster fire.
