I’ve been catching up on some noirs recently and Lizabeth Scott kinda knocks my socks off. She has such an alluring presence but doesn’t seem to get mentioned much in the femme fatale conversation. She had a 27 year career and has Dead Reckoning, Too late for Tears, Pitfall and The Strange Love of Martha Ivers under her belt. This followed by some TV work and her last appearance was Pulp which I haven’t seen in ages and don’t remember her in. Any other fans?

My mother (yeah, she's like as old as you'd think) loves her and Burt Lancaster so I grew up seeing them in I Walk Alone which was an early movie memory for me. She's not actually that good of an actress imo really and opposite Bogart she literally looks very amateurish imo in her big role - Dead Reckoning - where she looks much less self-assured than she did earlier in "..........Martha Ivers". But she's a fascinating presence anyway and had a fascinating made for noir look about her - she's like the Ellen Barkin of the 40s-50s and she's also an interesting story in how the scandal sheets sort of ruined her career with stories of her lesbianism. There has to be a MsMovieStar story in there somewhere
