I'll throw a bone to "The Quick and the Dead" - it's a rather incredible style-fest which seems to provide Spinotti with opportunities to flex his visual muscles at every turn.

Heat followed by L.A. Confidential. Both excellent work.

Not listed (!) but I would vote The Legend of the Holy Drinker , beautifully done and he frames Rutger Hauer in such an impactful, isolated way. Though some of the Mann's are in a way much more impressive, especially Heat with one of the GOAT ending shots. And I really like Wonder Boys, Quick & the Dead, The Star Maker, and the soft color of Crimes of the Heart - and I like how he isn't opposed to the split diopter!

He’s lensed some really great movies with immaculate results. I’ll go with Manhunter since I saw it again recently and was reminded just how gorgeous it looked. But L.A. Confidential & Heat are very much right up there. Thanks for doing this tastytomatoes. If you haven’t got any other requests for the next one(s) yet, then Robert Elswit & Vittorio Storaro would be excellent.
