So they are seriously going ahead with Hart as Roland???
Anyway, I imagine Curtis will play Helena Pierce.

"Hey let's cast the Jumanji guys in this movie!" "Hell yeah, Dwayne fucking LOOKS and sounds like Roland..." "Nah, not him." "Oh well Karen Gillam is a redhead and looks like Lilith..." "Nope. We're passing on her." "Well what about the 20-somthing Tannis, surely we could cast someone age app--" "Nope. We're getting Curtis." "Sir, have you ever played Borderlands?"

Honestly, I wouldn't have any problem with the quartet from Jumanji in a Borderlands film. And while I still don't necessarily think Kevin Hart is ruinous casting now that I've had time to process it, I mean, Claptrap is right there.

But I honestly couldn't think of a worse casting choice for Roland... it is truly mindboggling. I will reserve full judgement until I see Mordecai's casting (my favorite playable character from 1, even though he is easily the weakest of the four). After finishing The Strain, Miguel Gomez definitely fits the part.

She's in "65" too of course this year (maybe) ........Ariana Greenblatt........... the actress best known for her role in Avengers: Infinity War as Young Gamora, has been cast to play the crazed, crumpet-loving, 13-year-old explosives expert Tiny Tina in the upcoming Borderlands movie. Greenblatt, who is 13 herself, joins a cast that includes Cate Blanchett as Lillith, Jack Black as Claptrap, Kevin Hart as Roland, and Jamie Lee Curtis as Dr. Patricia Tannis .

So Tina's still going to be tiny... but for some reason they cast a grandmother as Tannis (who in the games is basically a grad student).

Now this is a good casting pick for the role as in the game.

Why would someone half her age be a key to her past?
Unless of course it's flashbacks...
Now... who to cast as Moxxi... that's what I really want to know.

True story - I don't even know what "Borderlands" is tbh but I post these updates just to be nice and because I like seeing mr. fish react to them EXCLUSIVE: Edgar Ramirez is set to play Atlas in Eli Roth’s adaptation of the bestselling videogame Borderlands for Lionsgate. He joins Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu, Haley Bennett, and Jack Black. In the game, Atlas is a business titan and arms manufacturer, and the most powerful person in the universe.deadline.com/2021/04/borderlands-edgar-ramirez-play-atlas-lionsgates-1234727783/

AND IF WE'RE GOING THROUGH THE BORDERLANDS 1 TIMELINE WHY THE FUCK IS SOMEONE IN HER SEVENTIES PLAYING A WOMAN WHO IS JUST OUT OF COLLEGE?!?! I don't mind the Ramirez casting (Atlas doesn't appear in the games) because he's a good actor but I must stress... why cast Kevin Hart AS ROLAND?!?!?

I go out of my way to find every piece of lore in these games... every ECHOlog, every side missions, every DLC... there's a very vast and rich story to be told. Every new announcement just makes me mad because it's like these people didn't even get through the first half of the first game. Now the biggest thing is why manufacture a villain when HANDSOME JACK IS PROBABLY THE GREATEST VIDEO GAME VILLAIN OF ALL TIME!

Same here. I played through Fallout 4 with every faction (except the Institute because fuck them!) and even though I have some reservations with the game, I still have something like 200 hours in it. As far as your kid, I'll spoiler tag it because I'm not sure how far along you are, but... I forget which playthrough it was but it wasn't my first one. Anyway, since I really didn't want to do his missions I just straight up killed him . I remember doing it and being all, "I don't have time for your shit, Shaun!" AND YOU CAN ACTUALLY KILL HIM! Best part is when you run away and go into one of those teleporters you hear people from the institute scream "HE WAS YOUR SON!" That was no son of mine!

Roth "fired" allegedly www.worldofreel.com/blog/2023/1/55ep04tr99ey02vqlxjprd0tpw4ltqBack in September, I was wondering what was going on with Eli Roth’s “Borderlands,” a video game adaptation from a screenplay he co-wrote with Craig Mazin. I had suspected during the fall, after a release date delay, that the film was in trouble, but nowhere near the drama that we learned today.
The fairly reliable Daniel Richtman is reporting on Patreon that Eli Roth was fired from “Borderlands” and that Tim Miller (“Deadpool”) was hired for reshoots after bad test screening reactions.
Reshoots for “Borderlands” happened in early Summer 2022 with Gary Ross hired as a new writer. The movie was test-screened again in November and it looks like Lionsgate just didn’t feel like Roth could save the film and pulled the plug on him.
Whats even weirder is that Cate Blanchett stars in “Borderlands”. Filming had wrapped on the film in June of 2021 and then she went straight into production for “TÁR” a few months later.
The rest of the ”Borderlands” cast includes Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Jamie Lee Curtis.
