Ever since Universal made a big move to release Trolls World Tour on digital and turn out a huge unprecedented profit for it, a lot of the theater owners are livid. So now two of the biggest movie chains, AMC and Cineworld, decided to ban anymore of Universal's movies from theaters and won't hesitant to pull the same on any other movie distributors too. Isn't Warner Bro also set to give Scoob same PVOD treatment too? This one is officially about how much Trolls World Tour made outside of movie theaters all month: Nearly $100 millionWhile I do understand where they're are coming from at this time, I also think those movie owners are just being so unreasonable about this move. They KNEW what Universal were up against when they made their last-minute decisions to handle some of their upcoming movies (like other studios too). They fear they might 'lose' more of their traditional businesses to PVOD if it becomes a new pattern. I mean, if the creation of television and TV movies haven't done much to hurt their businesses decades ago, then I doubt digital services would. This is likely a temporary thing they're doing to protect customers.

So since Disney is pulling Artemis Fowl, I guess that means they won’t screen that *sweet sweet* Disney dollaz? Fuck’s sake, this is stupid.

This is all because AMC clearly were too stupid to correctly understand a statement from Universal.
