season 6 has been really good so far!
so happy after the disaster that was season 3, they figured out how to move forward and have been putting out consistently great work.

Yeah, it's good, although they fucked up with what they did with Quinn in s05, giving them a lot less freedom this season.

Well, seasons 4 and 5 were really solid improvements from 3 and much of 2, but the first two episodes of S6 were as dull as the show has ever been. I'll wait until the end for overall season reviews before diving back in.

I wasn't crazy about season 4, but thought 5 was a wonderful rejuvenation for the show. I was truly bummed when I heard they were heading back stateside this year Haven't watched any of it yet, though I do plan to! You really like it? Tell us more!

As insufferable as Brody(and his family) were the show managed to be even more insufferable after they've left. Quitted it after the first episodes of season 4.

I gave up a few episodes into Season 2. Sad since I consider Season 1 to be one of the greatest seasons of television ever produced.

Yep! It's one of my favorites. I finished season 5 last week and will probably start season 6 soon. Season 3 is indeed the worst, although I didn't think it was that bad.

Let's get some more TV discussion going! If you've stuck with Homeland, you've realized that it's good again. Season 4 is one of my favorites. This season took a while to get into it, but I really liked it. They really did a great job with the parallels to the current political climate and anxieties affecting the nation. Quinn - it seemed inevitable though. He was clearly supposed to die last season (they even wrote him off) but I thought this was a better ending for him. Last season's arc felt too abrupt to end the character. Like the episode title "America First" - he was a hero doing his job. I hated seeing him as a shell of himself this year so it was "easier" to let him go. One of my favorite characters though. Very bleak ending. Was Dar right? Did the attack change her? Side note, Rupert Friend should get a Supporting Actor nod (no Peter or Kit this year).

The finale was excellent. Saul pointed out in the previous episode that they were doing what they did in countries like Chile and Iran when they want to overthrow a president.
In the finale, we see the other side of it: what happens when the coup fails. And what happens is that the regime often ends up radicalizing and retaliating against opposition, even when they have nothing to do with it.

Rupert Grint was great I agree, but it was probably time for his character to go. But I was disappointing that his death felt more like an afterthought although the death scene itself was definitely well-done.
The ending felt so out of nowhere that it's hard to know how I felt about it. Of course, they flashed forward a fair bit so Keane's actions weren't necessarily out-of-character, but I really have to watch the next season to know how I feel about her current character personality and how believe the change was (unless she was secretly this authoritarian the whole time).
Still, a pretty good season of Homeland. Definitely had some problems but it was definitely unpredictable and generally engaging. 8/10

As the series concluded recently, and I'm still on Season 5....can you rank all the seasons?
NO SPOILERS! Or at least cover them, please.
