Really sad. Didn't see much of him, but he was excellent in Life of Pi.

This really feels so personal. I still can't believe we won't be able to see him on screen anymore. The intensity in his eyes and how earnest his performances always are be it his painful Macbeth in Maqbool, or the hilarious common man driver in Piku... everything about him felt so real. I still haven't seen The Namesake and The Warrior and that's gonna be the first thing I am gonna watch now. It's SUCH a great loss to the film industry. I hope you guys explore his incredible work esp Maqbool, which is probably the best Macbeth adaptation I've seen (I really don't see any Macbeth movie touching this one..Him and Tabu and Vishal Bhardwaj's combo is to die for), The Lunchbox, Piku, Salaam Bombay, Mumbai Meri Jaan for starters. I am so gonna miss seeing my favorite actor on screen, but thank god for his movies. I'll always cherish those. This is his last shot on screen. So Magical. <3 Not going to lie, you were the first person I thought about when I heard the news. You've always been so passionate about Indian cinema, and I know he was a huge factor in their industry. There are so many performances of his I've heard raved to the heavens, and yet haven't explored yet. I guess now's as good a time as any.
