Awww. I always thought that dude was the prototype of a character's actor. He's kinda like a Steve Buscemi. Kind of a funny, smart alec type of guy. Maybe there could've been more parts for him in Hollywood, but at least he joined some fun casts, like in some American blockbuster films. This is one of my favorite line deliveries by him:

I'm not very familiar with him, but I do remember his performance in The Namesake, which was really solid stuff. Had no idea he was this young.

What the FUCK? 20 years ago he MADE Asif Kapadia with his performance in The Warrior, and his star power was obvious then, and the fact he got to go on and have this great career in the west after that was testament to that. I know everyone was amazing on In Treatment, but god he was amazing there. What a loss.

Oh my god oh my god oh my gooooood He was my favorite actor in hindi cinema and probably one the very best in the world! His performance in Maqbool, Pan Singh Tomar, Piku, Mumbai Meri Jaan, Life in a Metro is some of the best I've ever seen. And he JUST had a hindi movie release. Fuck 2020!! This is so bad.

Gutted. Rewatching Life of Pi recently and that ending really got me, knowing he was ill. Such an incredible actor and this is a great loss. His mother passing away just a few days earlier is also heartbreaking.

Wow, I had no idea. This is devastating. He was great in Life of Pi, and The Lunchbox. When his talked about his dying wife in that film (The Lunchbox), I just wanted to curl up and cry. What a huge loss for the film industry.

This really feels so personal. I still can't believe we won't be able to see him on screen anymore. The intensity in his eyes and how earnest his performances always are be it his painful Macbeth in Maqbool, or the hilarious common man driver in Piku... everything about him felt so real. I still haven't seen The Namesake and The Warrior and that's gonna be the first thing I am gonna watch now. It's SUCH a great loss to the film industry. I hope you guys explore his incredible work esp Maqbool, which is probably the best Macbeth adaptation I've seen (I really don't see any Macbeth movie touching this one..Him and Tabu and Vishal Bhardwaj's combo is to die for), The Lunchbox, Piku, Salaam Bombay, Mumbai Meri Jaan for starters. I am so gonna miss seeing my favorite actor on screen, but thank god for his movies. I'll always cherish those. This is his last shot on screen. So Magical. <3
