It's a travesty that Jon Favreau will now be known for Happy Hogan and The Jungle Book when the greatest thing he ever did was Danny Bateman.
And he was just one small part of The Replacements.

Second Sight never gets old for me. My older stepbrother showed it to me at a very young age & I had a lot of laughs. My brother was a fan of Pinchot’s TV series Perfect Strangers & his small screen time in Beverly Hills Cop. Anyways, the supporting cast with John Larrquette & Stuart Pankin were terrific. I thought Frances McDormand played Sister Elizabeth in the film. However, it was Bess Armstrong. They looked so alike back then!

I was today years old when I found out that wasn't Frances McDormand in Second Sight. She and Armstrong really looked alike back then. I knew Armstrong from My So Called Life among other things, and never noticed the resemblance, but Googling her, I really see it now.

Second Sight is not a great movie (it's very TV in nature), but like you I also find it highly amusing. Plus we get to see TV legends Bronson Pinchot and John Larrquette teaming up for the first and only times in their careers. I find that magical.

Drop Dead Fred is another great comedy from my childhood. Currently holds a 9% on RT which to me is mind-boggling. I guess you must be in the “right mood” to see this, who knows. Had no idea Rick Mayall passed away in ’14! He was so memorable in this performance. Phoebe Cates was good in it too though she went quiet & quickly disappeared from the industry after this, no idea why. All in all, it is a dark comedy though it never fails.

That movie is so messed-up in a lot of ways, and yet I really appreciate it for doing its own thing. There are very few movies quite like Drop Dead Fred. Also Phoebe Cates quit acting to have kids with Kevin Kline, and is basically enjoying retirement now.

I forgot about this topic. Anyways, Ski Patrol to me never fails. I think it’s one of those films to watch on a snowy night during winter. The performances by Leslie Jordan, Sean Sullivan & Martin Mull stole the show for me.

Monster-In-Law with Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda. It’s very rewatchable and just good fun. It’s a comfort movie for me

The 'Burbs is a top tier Tom Hanks movie.
Hot Shots! Part Deux is great fun. The Dream Team and Heart and Souls are both sweet.
I loved Rocketman (1997) as a kid and I still quote Kung Pow: Enter the Fist to this day.

The 'Burbs is a top tier Tom Hanks movie. Bruce Dern deserved the Oscar that year.
