- Russell, Brown, Harrison Jr, Screenplay, Cinematography, Film Editing, Ensemble for Waves (man this one got screwed over big time) Amen! I hope quite a few seek this one out if they must only check out one. It's so worth it IMO - at least for the performances. Also agree with almost all of your other FYCs except that Cho Yeo-jeong was my favorite of the Parasite cast so obviously going to go for her, but the rest of the cast is fantastic as well. Por que no los dos?!

Please check out The Nightingale. We have a chance to correct its awards-cycle snubbing. I'd also recommend Pain and Glory and The Souvenir.

Portrait of a Lady on Fire is like a must. Would love for you to check out Under the Silver Lake as well, but unsure if it'd be quite your cup of tea. If you can check out Greener Grass and/or Corpus Christi as well, I recommend it. I know at least Portrait and Greener Grass are on Hulu and Under the Silver Lake is on Amazon still I believe. Can rent Corpus Christi I believe, but not sure.

can't say I cared much for Waves but any votes for Taylor Russell have my approval.

I've got a question - can I vote for an Original Song from a movie that I haven't seen?

My man, you know me well Lol! I mean, I'll probably vote for it too and also not watch Between Two Ferns ... so unless someone overrules me or something I'll say it's allowed.

I've got a question - can I vote for an Original Song from a movie that I haven't seen? Yes, though you might want to consider whether or not the lack of full context could affect your appreciation for the song. Probably wouldn't in most cases.

Quick question: is this eligible for Best Original Song? It was written for the film, correct?

Quick question: is this eligible for Best Original Song? It was written for the film, correct? It was written by Jean-Baptiste de Laubier and Arthur Simonini for the film, so yes it's eligible and we gotta get it nominated

It's eligible? I'm definitely nominating it, then. That sequence was my favourite part of the film.

PLEASE watch Just Mercy before voting. Especially in a category as dire as adapted screenplay, the movie really deserves some love. It's so much better than you'd expect from the marketing (I was one of the first naysayers but I've been proved wrong) and features some tremendous performances esp. from Foxx and Rob Morgan but Jordan was on top of his game too, AND it made Obama's list so what more do you want??
This is an FYC from the President himself.
