For example I could say A Simple Plan is the best Coen Brother’s movie the Coen Brother’s never made. Give me some others that come to mind.

Punch Drunk Love could've been written by a blue Woody Allen.

Munich to me completely evokes FF Coppola and not just the intercutting scenes and I love Munich.
Three Billboards - still love it, haters (and there are a lot) be damned - evokes the Coens - that's no coincidence but I think most would say Tarantino which I don't see.
Stoker is the best De Palma movie in decades in its sick humor and a whole lot of the stylistic choices.
