I do think it's odd that he'd do another astronaut role immediately. Hopefully there's something else in between unless he can get some hotshit director like Spielberg or Michael Mann onboard.

Based on the title, I'm not confident in this mission.

Andy Weir? Isolated astronaut? Probably the most underwhelming scenario imaginable for Goose’s return tbh...

Based on the title, I'm not confident in this mission. Hee, I was trying to find a good gif of a failed Hail Mary, but I guess I didn't use the right search terms for it. So I guess I'll be optimistic and nice and post one of the greatest Hail Mary plays of all time if not the greatest.

It's hard for me to think of failed ones only because it's the ones that DO work out that get remembered. And in 2016, Aaron Rodgers did it to the Giants in the playoffs... twice.

I think this could be successful with critics like that one and Blade Runner 2049 were, but I don’t know about box office right now. Hopefully it does well.

The Gos is my favourite actor and has an all time great filmography, so this already shoots up to one of my most anticipated movies.

Cool. Gosling is usually pretty good at picking his projects (except for Gangster Squad of course lol fuck that film).

Oh fuck yes, it's been a minute.
Hmm, another one already?
Sounds a lot like The Martian.
...Oh.
That sounds like it could be a pretty interesting change of pace for this guy depending on—
...
I'm here for whatever Gosling does, but this isn't what I expected from his big return. Wouldn't be surprised if this sits in development for a long time as optioned property and he winds up doing something else before this gets off the ground (hehe).

Now I really, really want this to be a comedy in the vein of The Nice Guys.

9/10 of the Lego movie was brilliant. The last 10 minutes made me want to jump off a cliff. I hope they don't fuck this up.

This is gonna be great. Gosling has a great pick in projects, especially as of late.

Lord and Miller are about THE most overrated filmmakers on the interwebz but hey, Gosling in a lighter mode is something I'd definitely like to see.

Wow did not expect this combo at all but even more excited now, not that I'm a huge Miller/Lord fan (do love Jump Street) but this is a nicely unexpected collaboration.
