He has the face of someone who would touch me in my sleep. When he first started out, he was too pretty for me, and then he had like a moment where he was hot imo, but for me it didn't last long. He looks okay in the latest photos I saw of him on Google, but it's sort of jarring because he looked so young when he came on the scene, and now he looks his age.

I just looked up recent pictures of him, and was shocked to see much rounder and baggy his face was in general. Man sometimes age hits like a firecracker.

Around Boardwalk Empire, or before that?

I can tell you some of my female friends WERE obsessed with the guy when he was on Boardwalk Empire (1st two seasons). They told me they loved his demeanor and haircut haha.
As for me, I would LOVE for Pitt to make a comeback. He has been great in so many things (esp Boardwalk Empire).

Fish is right... but watching The Dreamers on cable at the age of 10/11 was 100% my sexual awakening, so I don't really have a choice here.
Seeing Michael Pitt, Eva Green and Louis Garrel frolicking naked around a Parisian apartment for 2 hours is what made me think "oh wow, who would've known movies are actually art".

OMG same, although much later than that. The three of them have the most beautiful bodies I've ever seen.

Around Boardwalk Empire, or before that? Yeah around Boardwalk Empire. I know he did stuff in between, but I think the last thing I remember him in before BE was The Village, and I didn’t find him hot in that. Although to be fair he didn’t get to do anything, and I was cared more about the romance between Joaquin Phoenix and Bryce Dallas Howard’s characters than anything else in that movie.

He used to be really, really cute when he was younger, like an edgier young DiCaprio. But he aged very poorly imo

OMG same, although much later than that. Let's just say I had access to a lot of film channels at that age and very little parental supervision with regards to what I watched, so yeah.

He was really cute when he first came on the scene but I think Michael is one of those hot guys who doesn't want to be hot.

All I know is that he's the MVP of Bully (2001) and doesn't get enough love for that role.

All I know is that he's the MVP of Bully (2001) and doesn't get enough love for that role. bump! I forgot to leave a comment regarding your post so here I am over a year late haha. Yeah he was darkly funny in Bully especially the scene where he was tripping balls while playing that arcade game. He was wild as hell in that film. Another reason I bumped this thread is because I have been re watching season 1 of Boardwalk Empire and forgot how brilliant it was. Jimmy Darmody was my favorite character too (played by Michael Pitt). I came across this article about Michael Pitt that came out last year and it doesn't make Pitt look good at all. It makes him look like an unprofessional asshole. I also wasn't aware that UTA (United Talent Agency) cut ties with Pitt around the time he was on Boardwalk Empire. Damn. Combine that news with the fact that he is hardly in anything anymore and all the anonymous (yet very detailed) negative stories about him, I gotta say "where there is smoke, there is fire". Really disappointing cause I always thought he was talented. He is only 40 years old though so its not too late for him to turn it around. www.pajiba.com/celebrities_are_better_than_you/remember-michael-pitt-those-who-worked-with-him-would-probably-rather-not.phpdeadline.com/2011/10/uta-says-it-fired-boardwalk-empire-actor-185710/

Recently watched BE for the first time and was impressed with his performance in that. Oddly enough, I think he's kind of at a point in his career that I'd compare to his Bully co-star Nick Stahl- career marred by behind-the-scenes troubles, long time since he's had a starring role, still young and talented enough for a comeback.

Glad you enjoyed Boardwalk Empire! and glad you also brought up his Bully co star Nick Stahl. Stahl is slowing making a comeback recently. He had a role in this season's Fear the Walking Dead and some low budget indie films. I'm glad Stahl is apparently sober & cleaned up these days because like you stated, he is still relatively young and just now entering his 40s. Plenty of time to turn it around. Also if you enjoy Nick Stahl as an actor, definitely check out the short lived HBO show called Carnivale. Stahl is the lead in it and did a great job imo (it was canceled after 2 seasons. If you like weird shit, it would be right up your alley!) lol

Kabul downfall, so I guess we definitive we return to 2001, when my friend Nick Stahl and Micheal Pitt were trendy.-

It has some great standout moments and is a technical marvel, and Clancy Brown gives one of my favorite TV performances ever. Overall though i think the pacing kinda drags and brings down an otherwise solid show.
