I always underestimate how much people love De Palma, holy shit. Love seeing the mentions for Rohmer. Adore his films from this era but I tend to undervalue his directing because the movies are so dialogue-focused and aesthetically minimal that his directing kind of disappears for me, but I love that leisurely tone in his projects. You really get to settle in and meet his characters and there's nothing else to distract from that.
Quite a few things being mentioned I haven't seen yet so in the ole' watchlist they go.
