Bruh tbh I dunno about that bruh I'd say it's probably his most disposable movie of the century, except for maybe Hugo. I mean it's completely fine but it's got very little going for it, doesn't have any of the ambition of something like Silence or Wolf of Wall Street, or even Gangs of NY. Have you seen Silence yet? He should. Yeah, I think he'd dig. I've seen it twice and I still don't think I've fully absorbed it yet. Feels like a pretty major late period film. It's too bad people rejected it but I'm sure it'll be embraced in the years to come.

Hugo and Gangs, although i think that Silence, which i will see this upcoming week, will overtake Gangs.

1) Hugo - 9.5/10 (so damn underrated, I honestly adore it) 2) The Departed - 9.5/10 3) The Wolf of Wall Street - 9/10 4) Shutter Island - 8.5/10 5) Gangs of New York - 7.5/10 (though that's from faint memory. This deserves a rewatch) 6) Silence - 6/10 (ugh)
I need to get round to The Aviator, it's near the top of my watch-list for sure.

Why do you say ugh about the third greatest American film of the 2010's?

Why do you say ugh about the third greatest American film of the 2010's? Okay, maybe the 'ugh' was a bit unreasonable. But really, Silence was just such a laborious let-down in so many ways, especially when put into 'Scorsese's passion project!' context. It left absolutely no impression on me whatsoever.

I find it interesting the response people have is either love or complete indifference.
