though , I've always felt that Woody Allen was kind of a creep for marrying her underage stepdaughter , I would say that I'm more inclined to Believe Moses Farrow here .A l Their family drama is very complex no doubt about that , but there are a lot of things in Dylan's testimonity that just don’t add up. I genuinely believe that the poor girl has been brainwashed by Mia Farrow. Same.I read the Moses Farrow testimony yesterday and it was very convincing.Mia Farrow sounds genuinely unstable and his childhood sounded like a nightmare. Plus, Moses gets bonus points for not seeming to still be sucking at Mia's teats.

So a girl who was weeks away from turning 17 turns Allen into a pedophile someone who pursues children before puberty. You're just changing the definition of every word now, grotesquely dropping libelous innuendo (an "8 year old" GTFO, again). Just because you call him the word doesn't make him a pedophile - it actually kind of makes you a sort of crypto-fascist who thinks he controls the definition of words as he sees fit. "Like some epstein" bullshit except it's Weinstein so now all definition, context and legality have been erased and so has spelling I guess. Yanno, Warren Beatty fncked Cher when she 16 - oops I mean "dated" her - pedophile? It's in her book.........somebody published that book. Just sayin' and yeah let's not go into too much debate.......I just need to remember to buy 3 copies of that Allen book when he self-publishes it instead of just two. www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-news/woody-allen-16-year-babi-christina-engelhardt-770210/You didn't need this debate to know Catrician is a crypto-fascist. He 100% undoubtedly IS. Matter of fact, he's the BIGGEST & most loathsome crypto-fascist on these boards!! And that's saying something. EVERY single issue he takes the crypto-fascist view. i'm literally a communist shouldn't this thread be on the books board lol

Go figure..... www.indiewire.com/2020/03/woody-allen-memoir-published-farrow-denies-1202219758/Woody Allen’s controversial memoir “Apropos of Nothing” has found a new home at Arcade Publishing and is being released today, The Associated Press reports. Arcade picked up distribution rights to the memoir after it was dropped at the beginning of the month by Hachette following widespread backlash. Arcade said in a statement: “The book is a candid and comprehensive personal account by Woody Allen of his life, ranging from his childhood in Brooklyn through his acclaimed career in film, theater, television, print and standup comedy, as well as exploring his relationships with family and friends.”

Woody on Chalamet: “All the three leads in ‘Rainy Day’ were excellent and a pleasure to work with,” Allen writes in the book. “Timothée afterward publicly stated he regretted working with me and was giving the money to charity, but he swore to my sister he needed to do that as he was up for an Oscar for ‘Call Me by Your Name,’ and he and his agent felt he had a better chance of winning if he denounced me, so he did.”
Allen added, “Anyhow, I didn’t regret working with him and I’m not giving any of my money back.” pagesix.com/2020/03/25/woody-allen-claims-timothee-chalamet-denounced-him-to-increase-oscar-chances/

"Woody Allen said it so it must be true" Here's the thing, though: there haven't been any new accusations against Allen in the last few years. The only thing that's changed is the climate and the reactions. Chalamet, as has every single actor who has worked with Allen since 1992, has done so knowing the cloud of controversy surrounding him. It's just that until 2015, hardly anyone copped any flak for taking the job, and indeed, several have won all sorts of accolades. And the timing of Chalamet's disavowal of the project did come off as suspect (although I thought it was while he was promoting Beautiful Boy instead). He took on the job likely thinking it would lead to bigger and better things, as it has for many an actor before him, and he just happened to do it at the worst possible time to be the lead in a Woody Allen picture.

www.theguardian.com/film/2020/may/29/do-i-really-care-woody-allen-comes-out-fightingI ask how he feels about the actors who denounce him. “It’s silly. The actors have no idea of the facts and they latch on to some self-serving, public, safe position. Who in the world is not against child molestation?” he says. “That’s how actors and actresses are, and [denouncing me] became the fashionable thing to do, like everybody suddenly eating kale.” External opinion is meaningless.

I winced just thinking about it.

From one NYC filmmaker to another - Spike Lee on Woody Allen and cancel culture: “I’d just like to say Woody Allen is a great, great filmmaker and this cancel thing is not just Woody and when we look back on it we are going to see that — short of killing someone — you can’t just erase someone like they never existed." pagesix.com/2020/06/13/spike-lee-defends-woody-allen-against-cancel-culture/
