When Harry Met Sally is her best performance and her best movie imo.

None. She an awful actress and I think quite disturbed irl ........maybe I should be more compassionate but...... What kind of actress for a long time only takes kewpie doll nice girl roles (you know them all) or damaged or "bad girl" (whore?) roles exclusively - (The Doors may be stretching it but she ain't remotely Pamela Courson, In the Cut, Addicted To Love, Hurlyburly). There's some kind of psychosis you can see in her in the roles she took and there's a stupendous lack of talent displayed too. What kind of mother carries on such a public high profile affair after bailing (and embarrassing) on her husband/small children? How was that not shoving Quaid's face - the father of her kids - in it? Ever see her interviewed - it's not a pretty sight at all. Her performance in Proof of Life is the single worst major star performance in a major film I've ever seen too - she may as well be ordering lunch with that lack of emoting - and Crowe who I am sometimes critical of - in a classic example of "wtf are you doing dude?" had the affair with her that publicly after that??  Really can't stand her .....can you tell?  |

When Harry Met Sally, she tried to repeat the formula but it got to to the point to be embarrasing, like The Women... everything in that movie has to be seen to be believed lol

I was never a fan of her acting (haven't seen her most famous role "when harry") but I thought she was good in "Sleepless" damn good in "When A Man Loves A Woman" and shockingly terrific in "hurlyburly." I thought Penn was gonna blow her outta the water but she held her own ("I fuck who I want" scene).

When Harry Met Sally, but I think she's a bit undervalued in her dramatic roles, e.g., Courage Under Fire, In the Cut, the later scenes of Top Gun, etc.
I think the ship has sailed for a proper comeback, but I generally miss her presence and it's a bit painful to watch someone like Amy Adams sort of take her place.
