My line-ups have 10 nominees instead of 5, but here goes:
I give Michael Caine 14 nominations, but he doesn't have a win. As a matter of fact, he never is my #2 in any of the line-ups.
Paul Newman has 12 nominations without a win, but is #2 on three occasions.

Ooh, that's tough. Maybe Jeff Bridges.

For the longest time, it was Robert Mitchum, with nine nominations and no win (though he was runner-up no less than four times). However, with the recent-ish revelation that Brighton Rock is actually a 1948 film instead of '47, he might finally get a win for Out of the Past.

Jeff Bridges: seven nominations and no wins. Up next is Reese Witherspoon with six, and then Brad Pitt and Susan Sarandon both with five.

Not 100 percent sure, but looking through my line-ups (for males only right now) it's probably Marcello Mastroianni with 6 noms. Michael Caine and Philip Seymour Hoffman have five each without a win.
