Doesn't sound very promising.

Yeah, I see many negative comments & that is fair. However, lets wait & see where this goes before, we judge.

Interesting. Two actresses I do not like paired up under a director who's become pretty skilled at drawing out good performances.

I’d be thrilled if DiCaprio does this. Seriously, it has to happen. The role he’s rumored to be considering is reportedly juicy and incredibly baity.

DiCaprio/Lawrence/Blanchett together is insane. This has to be one of the most stacked cast announcements in ages.

Not a fan of Mckay, but it would be nice to see DiCaprio do more comedy. If it's between this and nothing, he needs to do this. He's only done 2 movies since 2013!

Seems like "Film Updates" too is speculating about it based on that information.
I think it's highly possible, i mean, who else?? Plus the shooting period of Don't Look Up wraps exactly when Killers of The Flower Moon should begin (February 2021).
It could be very well be him.

He's been rumoured for the project for a while now, so yeah I think it's him.

I'm not sure how credible this is but it makes sense. I wonder what happened with Nightmare Alley though. He could have done PTA's new movie too.

It's kinda insane he turned down Guillermo Del Toro and Paul Thomas Anderson for an Adam McKay Netflix film, (especially him being the pickiest actor in the entire film industry), but I guess it means the role must be incredibly juicy and baity, and the script and story must be really great for him to potentially join in.

It's better than nothing, but it seems like the 3rd dumbest decision of his career to turn down PTA for this.

This coming from someone who greatly prefers to PTA to McKay who I loathe -- but I don't think PTA is a particularly good writer and the behind-the-scenes pics from this, eh. I can also see Leo not thinking the character was that much of a departure from Rick Dalton judging from those pics.

I wouldn't turn down Boogie Nights to do The Big Short, but I wouldn't turn down The Big Short to do Inherent Vice.

I can also Leo not thinking the character was that much of a departure from Rick Dalton. I am also of the opinion that PTA isn't a very good writer, but I feel the same way about McKay as a writer. And they're worlds apart as directors. I will attempt to be more open-minded about this project, even though I think McKay is a hack, at least until we know more about the role DiCaprio is supposed to be playing (if he does end up doing it). I wouldn't turn down Boogie Nights to do The Big Short, but I wouldn't turn down The Big Short to do Inherent Vice. Well, this is obviously subjective, but I think every PTA movie (with the exception of Inherent Vice) is much better than any McKay movie I've seen.

Yeah, in terms of working with PTA, I may be wrong, but I think DiCaprio is more interested in doing his own There Will Be Blood or The Master, thus a one-man show with a unique lead character and a show-stopping performance, as opposed to another sprawling ensemble of supporting characters in the vein of Magnolia or Inherent Vice, and I think this new movie belongs more to the latter category.

And they're worlds apart as directors. No, I agree with that. I had actually wrongly assumed he McKay wasn't writing this. But regardless of what I think about them personally as writers, my point still stands that I think it's most likely Leo simply chose the script he liked more. I also wouldn't be surprised if this part was more significant than the one in Soggy Bottom or whatever the hell it's going to be called. For some reason, my mind keeps going to Jack Nicholson in Terms of Endearment.
