Curious how the board feels - if he was the Dem candidate would you vote for him for that reason alone or is his "buying the Presidency" so much of a turn-off you would never vote for him?

No.
A lot of what’s come out has been awful (telling his employee to kill her baby if she wants to keep her job, the whole stop and frisk situation, etc). He definitely shouldn’t be able to buy an election the way he’s been doing. Him getting into the debate is laughably pathetic too after how bad they fucked over Mike Gravel. Unlike other people on the left though, I think him getting into the debate will be good since he’ll likely get bashed by the other candidates and he doesn’t seem to have the charisma to carry a stage.
If he does win the nomination though, Trump will pull out an easy win.
Part of me feels like if the Democrats lose yet again with another moderate (hell, Bloomberg might even be straight up right wing by the sounds of it) it adds fire to the notion that things need to change and that they need to move left. Which is partly why I’m happy that Clinton lost as that supported the narrative that I was arguing in 2016 and a narrative that will ultimately lead to well needed change in America.

After seeing the vid where he says we should just let old people die because healthcare is gonna bankrupt us, I told myself “fuck it I might vote for him. Let chaos reign”.
The funny thing about Bloomberg is that he is everything that the left says Trump is.

I’d have to learn more about his policies (he released some of his agenda today, didn’t he?) but as of right now, I’d be on the fence. Nope. Trump is fucked up in many ways, but his absolute disregard for precedent or prevailing standards of supposed decorum makes him at least somewhat interesting as a personality, and definitely funny; he actually changed something about not only politics but public life for good. Bloomberg is just a rich stooge trying to derail Bernie. I will be in disbelief if the Democrats allow Bloomberg to secure the nomination.

There's no way he's worse than Trump and I'd vote for him but yeah, if he gets the nomination the dems are toast. In reality the left is so fractured now and torn between overly idealistic millennials and centrist old heads that if anyone other than Bernie gets the nomination, we'll probably have the same situation as in 2016 where the bitter younger liberals just stay home rather than vote for someone who might push for decent social and environmental policies (and I don't know if there's been a strongly-enough worded discussion about the shared responsibility there...it wasn't just hicks and fundamentalists that got Trump elected). No one in the recent political landscape has been more damaging than Trump to the social and political landscape or more personally odious, maybe with the exception of Roy Moore. Any liberals who don't vote on the blue ticket next fall could be just as implicit in his re-election as his cult of brown-nosing followers.

There's no way he's worse than Trump and I'd vote for him Why is there no way that the racist, sexist, pro-war multi-billionaire attempting to purchase the presidency with sexual misconduct allegations out the ass is worse than Trump? Because he's less incompetent at getting his way and is calling himself a Democrat? Voting for Bloomberg is supporting a revolting, reprehensible oligarchy

Yeah.... I don't see him getting any votes from the LGBT community - his knowledge of that demographic is practically none. And his appeal to them is pretty much none too. Maybe capitalists and the state of New York would vote him.
This is why we don't make people like Bloomberg or Sanders president. Their background is not politics or pressures of making decisions that affect others. (maybe themselves) Sanders' strongsuit is communist ideals, or the modern Americanized version of it. Bloomberg is obviously starting businesses - but I don't feel like governing and starting businesses are synonymous at all. Both would look foolish and without a paddle as President.
Trump at least has a wider spectrum even though he had no experience, he is a people's person like Nixon. That guy was the ultimate people's president.
Democrats needs to nominate someone who's head isn't up his ass and that hasn't happened in a while now.

Am I wrong to think Bloomberg will pretty much just steal votes from Buttigieg and make Sanders stronger? The DNC are gonna have to be even more shameless to stop Bernie this time, like just literally determine that whoever ends up in 3rd is the actual winner or something more outrageous.
The best part will be the mainstream media do a 180 and straight up support Trump if Democrats actually accept Bernie as the nominee.
