Guys... Is Tony winning this thing? I really can't see it being anyone besides him or Sophie. What is life? Tony has made merge and has received 0 votes. It truly is an unreal feat. Especially considering his time on Game Changers.

If an episode ever needed to be two hours it was that one.

"I can't believe I won a game of patience".
I'm getting stronger and stronger winner vibes from Tony.

"I can't believe I won a game of patience". I'm getting stronger and stronger winner vibes from Tony. Yeah, this episode cemented Tony as a major frontrunner, and honestly, I think it sets the stage for a Tony/Sophie showdown in the near future. He wants Sarah all to himself, he knows Sophie's tight with her, and he can't have Cops-R-Us compromised. I think he takes a shot at her next. Whichever one survives the showdown wins the season, I think.

I'm in awe. How did Tony do all that in just one episode.

I'm in awe. How did Tony do all that in just one episode. Right?! I listen to Rob Has a Podcast after most airings and he didn't want to get too hyperbolic but said this was probably the best episode in 5 years and one of the best character episodes ever. That was insane.
I feel bad for Sophie but I'm so glad we got to see her play again. It was also cute how flustered she was and unprepared for the etiquette of being voted out.
Is it also bad that I enjoy every time Kim is frustrated? She's actually surrounded by players this time, so...

Unfortunately I think Tony is playing so good, that it's too good. At this point every single player has to realize he's the one to get out because he'll definitely win in the end.

Unfortunately I think Tony is playing so good, that it's too good. At this point every single player has to realize he's the one to get out because he'll definitely win in the end. While I think Tony absolutely balled out this episode, this can't just be a death march to the end for him. Sarah is going to be pissed, Kim's gearing up to take her shot at Tony, and I feel like we're going to see Ben start to go over Tony to avenge Sophie (especially if Tony doesn't pay back the fire token; Tony borrowed three but only has two tokens in his possession, and I see him paying back Jeremy and Nick over Ben, whom he just blindsided. He has to be very careful now, because there's another idol in play (and I think seeing Ben's reaction to Sophie getting taken out with an idol in her pocket was telling; I think Ben starts his hunting next week) and he needs to placate him somehow, because a vengeful Ben teamed up with a vengeful Sarah is not what Tony needs right now. In short, I think Tony's best play is to pay back Ben and Nick, and make nice-nice with Sarah/Ben. Jeremy can bitch and moan all he wants, but he's short on allies and frankly, he's too big a threat to empower with another coin. Jeremy won't want Tony out as long as he can use him as a shield, and Tony wants to string Jeremy along a few more votes. But I feel Tony will be riding so high on his victory over Sophie that he won't be able to keep his defenses up fully; he's going to have Kim going after him, Sarah looking for revenge (which, to be fair, would really put the button on their three-season dynamic together -- he blindsides her in their first season, they never play together in their second, she blindsides him in their third), and at least one person angry about the unpaid debt.

There's no way, right? There's no freakin' way that Tony freakin' Vlachos is about to win Survivor: Winners at War with no votes cast against him, with a strong case of sweeping the jury at the end, right? Right?!

You would think so but then again David fucking Genat just cruised his way to victory in an All Stars season, so who fucking knows at this point.

The Golden God and the Llama Whisperer winning back-to-back all-star seasons in 2020 is too much. Just too much.

3 hours of Survivor last night. Man, that was a good finale! Still can't believe the only votes Tony got the whole season were at final tribal. #2020
But I really hate Edge and fire tokens enable you to literally buy your way back into the game, making it more beneficial to be first boot. I hope we can finally put this island to bed. Ugh. And despite not rooting for Michele in her first season, she did not deserve to be a zero vote finalist this time -- she really should have been second. I love Natalie and she beasted...ish back into the game, but "being at peace" with not taking Tony to fire was not great. I see a lot more appreciation online for what Underwood was able to do now.
But with all that said, wow, Tony is a two-time winner. His odds were shite coming into this game and he did it. For the years people have been dreaming of a season like this happening, it was quite something to behold at times. I don't agree with Jeff and most (?) people that it was the best season (probably not even top 15, honestly) -- but it was so cool to see the likes of Yul, Ethan and Denise again. Did I hear right at the end that Jeff says season 41 is coming in the fall? Not sure how that works but encouraging 16-year-olds to apply is so unwise.

What did you think, mhynson27 and coop032 ? Also, Stephen got me a Rob Cesternino cameo of him doing a Penner impression and wishing me a happy birthday.
