I hope the two sequels don't follow the original story. I want two completely different whodunit films.

Which is weird as fuck, because he didn't even feel particularly essential to the success first movie, but he lucked out playing the detective character, as you can build a franchise around the same detective solving cases. I mean, more people were talking about Chris Evans sweater, than Craig's performance. Talk about fluking into another franchise role after Bond. I was lucky enough to meet Rian before the pandemic and he talked about his love for mystery. He has a big crush on Agatha Christie and Poirot is his fav character. It doesn't surprise me that he wanted to turn it into a franchise. Well, Chris is that guy. LMAO. He has cross over appeal so anything he does gets people to talk. I think Rian did a good job at creating an original mystery detective. That is hard to do. I love this genre so I'm glad there is somebody out there willing to take on all-star whodunits again. I'm totally with you: It's great to have somebody making great whodunits again. And Rian Johnson did a fantastic job with Knives Out. I really wished he would be the one taking on some Christie adaptions instead of Kenneth Branagh, who on top of it is making unnecessary remakes...

He's going to remake all the ones that have brand appeal but there are other books that deserve a remake.

But what if instead of Plummer dying, they took his brain and put it into someone else's body! Then of course, they kill that body, but think of the possibilities. I could go for that being Kevin Spacey's comeback, so long as he stays dead when all is said and done.

Very poetic.

Norton is a great addition if you ask me. Plus, he totally needs such a movie in order to back. Good for him.

Calling it: Ed Norton will play several characters at least one of which will have a speech impediment possibly a second character with a significant limp. Then he will go on talk shows where they will call him "one of America's finest actors" which is true if the list is like what the top 30 ........too high?........top 40 or .....top ..........well you get the idea.

Obviously very excited about Norton joining. Hopefully it's a comeback part for him. Would like it if he was the killer. You're joking but for real it would be very funny if he played a pretentious method actor and his intro scene was him on some Charlie-Roseish high brow talk show being a windbag.

I don't know why, but I kinda hope the third film is Benoit Blanc going back to his childhood home where his dad (Charles Dance, doing his own deep-fried Shelby Foote impression), who taught him everything he knows, is the main suspect in a murder.

Yeah, most people were wondering why he did it, as it seemed random. Apparently Rian Johnson suggested he do that, and that was after he had already done a cartoonish Southern accent with Logan Lucky. I also like the idea that he should do a different accent for every film, just to mess with audiences minds even more. That would be such a dumb running gag but it would be funny because it doesn't make any sense.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan - I like him but never had him as a best of generation level guy like some .......on the other hand maybe it gives him a chance to do something wacky like Izzy LaFontaine - if he did this stuff more often.............well........I'd be more of a fan(dau).......seems a perfect opportunity to bring out his goofy side.....

Plot twist: he's the same character from Birdman who eventually went the route of Riggan Thomson and achieved movie fame, but has now become washed up, bitter, and committed murder.

If he's not the guy from American History X, we're good.
