I hope everyone is keeping well. It was reported 1 in 5 households had Covid in Ontario last month. My childhood friend's father died from it last week. I've returned to school and am working with people with Covid because they were out the required five days and told to return. We're running out of sick days, most already have. I know so many sectors have little to no sick days to speak of, but it's disheartening that there are so few precautions and it seems all but inevitable that I'm going to get it. Boosted, at least. Worse than all this are the protests happening in Ottawa right now. Such a repulsive display and I'm thankful to be without facebook so I don't have to see how many white supremacists I'm related to.

Between this and No-vaxx Djokovic kicking everybody's ass - it's like every day you just don't know what to believe ammiright? Energy Department finds COVID-19 most likely emerged from lab leak The Energy Department has now concluded with "low confidence" that the COVID-19 pandemic most likely began after an unintentional laboratory leak in China, according to the Wall Street Journal, which cited a classified intelligence report provided to the White House and members of Congress. There are two competing theories about what started the COVID-19 pandemic in China: that the virus jumped from animals to humans at a market, and that it was accidentally leaked from a lab where researchers were studying coronaviruses. Neither has had enough evidence so far to be conclusive.
The Wall Street Journal and New York Times both reported that the Energy Department, citing new intelligence, changed its stance on the origins of the pandemic but the conclusion was relatively weak. USA TODAY could not independently confirm the reports. www.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2023/02/27/covid-lab-leak-energy-department-theory-explained/11357354002/

We don't know for certain. I suspect it was an accidental lab leak, not bio-terrorism.

I agree with him that the lockdowns were problematic and silly at times. Disagree on vaccine mandates. There's already vaccination requirements in every state and Washington D.C. If a child wants to attend a school or play on sports teams, they have to get vaccinated against 8 different diseases. If they provide a medical excuse, they can get a waiver. Eventually, we're going to add the Covid vaccination to the list. We become less free and less safe, when we see vaccines as a "personal freedom". This is how we get Measles and Polio out breaks. It's pretty important that everybody gets vaccinated.

Just sticking this here - on March 6 2023 ffs - Woody Harrelson was right, my country is a joke on this issue, the way this country handled Covid is a very unfunny joke.....vaccinations are not "all the same" - certainly this wasn't.....it is not important that everybody gets vaccinated at all.......in 2023 certainly.......and putting "personal freedom" in quotes is pretty chilling shit ^
Just sayin' ......

Absolutely wild that people still think this vaccine should be mandated considering that even the propagandists have finally admitted it doesn’t stop transmission. The “conspiracy theorists” have been telling you this ever since they noticed that people were still catching covid MULTIPLE TIMES despite being vaxxed and boosted like our dear leader president Biden. This ain’t like the smallpox or polio or pretty much any other traditional vaccines which were tested for a very long time and actually do what they’re supposed to do. Best case scenario all the covid vax does is alleviate symptoms and keep you out of the hospital if you’re obese or have other co-morbidities (which to be fair is a fuckton of people in this country). It doesn’t stop transmission so by definition this isn’t even a vaccine, it’s a therapeutic
If you want to avoid catching covid, just do what works for me: a blunt a day keeps the ‘rona away. We’re 3 years into “2 weeks to stop the spread” and I still haven’t caught covid or jabbed myself once
