Forget DGA, guys. For years now these shows have been awarding only flashy directorial achievements. Mendes has DGA, BAFTA and the Oscar in the bag.
We can hope for a BP/BD split at BAFTA and/or Oscars, but I'm pretty sure PGA killed that too.

Definitely the best SAG show I've seen. That moving Brad Pitt speech, that amazing De Niro montage, the best speech Phoenix has ever given, and an unprecedented and historic final award. Really memorable stuff.

We're really getting the same 4 winners everywhere, huh? Can Ronan at least upset at BAFTA? The 4 acting winners are set with Oscar. They've all done enough at this point. Even if Ronan wins at BAFTA, she'll be this year's Rachel Weisz, who won BAFTA, but nowhere else that was significant.

That Parasite win was so exciting to see! Loved Phoenix’s speech too and how he recognized his fellow nominees.

The idea (not so much of an idea now I guess) of both Zellwegger and 1917 winning big is kind of depressing I hear you. I mean, I'm glad for Zellweger but she's so much better than this. Watching Judy and all I can think is one of those movies designed for an actor to reincarnate another actor and win awards for that, made by people who think good lighting = great cinema, and that's all. As a movie could not exist. Does that count as cinema ? Dunno...

Really memorable stuff. Yep, I only wish the Globes and Critics Choice had been half as enjoyable. Even though many of the winners were predictable, not having a host really made it go pretty fast and pretty painless imo. The sketches weren’t even that bad.

The sketches weren’t even that bad. The have no budget, so they don't use big stars to do the sketches . The hero montage is weirdly unnecessary. Oh yeah I forgot about that stupid montage. It would have been a lot better if The Zuck had just made her speech thanking all the members and other unions. Still not too bad, the Oscars although thankfully not as much as they used to, are notorious for putting in masterbatory montages about how wonderful the industry is, I don’t need other award shows to do it too.
