See the trend here? This is from November 1992 - they had made 1 film in 1990 and here together supporting their 2nd, Malcolm X (!992) and one more still to come in the decade. Who might be the collaboration of the 2020s? Bold suggestions, explanations welcomed ........hint - it's not gonna be Daniel Day-Lewis and PTA because he ain't coming back people. Remember this is IN the 2020s, so Leo-Scorsese etc. likely wouldn't work out either. Look into your crystal ball........ How about Haenel/Sciamma? Go!

I feel like Lulu Wang/Constance Wu is a partnership waiting to happen. Though it may take 2021 to be get their next film produced. But if they can make it to that season, Constance might get her first Oscar nod if the film is as good a hit as The Farewell. She's a pretty Asian girl and you know Hollywood likes to integrate minorities into their system.
It might break Wang into the spotlight. Also, she dates Barry Jenkins so she's in good company in terms of getting into the awards circuit talk. I'm sure her guy will help spread the word for her.
