Happy 82nd birthday! (Lotta popular bdays today)
Gonna use this thread to ask, Favorite Perfs ???
1. Toby Dammit 2. The Collector 3. The Limey 4. The Hit 5. maybe Priscilla Queen of the Desert
Surprised for a Brit how little tv he's done.... I hope he has a solid part in Edgar Wright's next Last Night in Soho.

So no nom noms. three years later... 1965 Best Actor - The Collector (runner-up to Orson Welles) 1994 Best Actor - Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert (runner-up to Morgan Freeman) Also saw his Oscar-nominated turn in Billy Budd which was nothing special, especially standing next to Peter Ustinov. I love The Hit and I liked him in it but nowhere near as much as John Hurt. Still haven't seen The Limey

The Hit 5. maybe Priscilla Queen of the Desert He's terrific in those and I probably nominate him for all five (and a win for "The Collector"). I wish I'd count many more but unfortunately, he's not that prolific and doesn't always get juicy roles even if he's always reliable. Well, almost always (that accent was really distracting in "Blue"). But I love him, I love it whenever he shows up in anything; let it be "Young Guns" or "Bowfinger". Speaking of the later one, I usually love his comedic turns. I need to mention "The Art of the Steal" here which is not a big film, nothing much original going on but he steals the show. Another movie worth to mention from the last decade would be "Song for Marion" which is another film that I didn't care in whole but he elevates the material impressively. I loved his General Zod even though I haven't seen Superman films in ages. Shout-out to another superb villanious turn in "Alien Nation".

Really never saw much of him, but The Limey for sure.
Even in such a crowded year as it was.

Don't think I ever nod him, but he's close for The Limey.
