Considering Tarantino's notoriously bad in front of the camera, even if he were to play himself, I wouldn't really mind if they recast the part with someone like David Lynch or Werner Herzog, considering a.) Cage has worked with both men before, and b.) both actually can act. Hell, even Marty wouldn't be a bad get either.

Neil Patrick Harris as his agent which is almost too perfect I really do love that title btw "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent" The premise for The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent concerns a fictionalized version of Nicolas Cage agreeing to attend the birthday party of a superfan (Pascal) in exchange for a hefty payday. However, the superfan is eventually revealed to be a drug kingpin. To survive this adversary, Cage will be forced to call upon his most iconic roles. www.cbr.com/nicolas-cage-movie-neil-patrick-harris/

Officially wrapped this after a last bit of shooting yesterday in Beverly Hills. This guy noticed the wardrobe reference from Cage's Wild at Heart appearance on British talk show Wogan in 1990. The references throughout this movie will be great fun....

deadline.com/2021/08/lionsgate-closes-cinemacon-with-big-laughs-shows-off-trailer-for-nicolas-cage-satire-unbearable-weight-of-massive-talent-1234822948/By far the biggest treat in the studio’s CinemaCon reel is the upcoming April 22, 2022 Nicolas Cage self-satire The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, which drew great applause and laughs from the exhibition attendees in the room. “I’m quitting acting, tell the trades,” Cage tells his agent, played by Neil Patrick Harris. The agent books him a lucrative personal appearance with a really rich guy (played by Pedro Pascal) who lives on a Mediterranean island. It’s a broad comedy reminiscent of Being John Malkovich. Pascal’s character is such a fan, he has a showroom of Cage memorabilia including a wax figure of the actor from Face/Off. “It’s grotesque,” says Cage seeing it. Pascal asks him, “What’s your favorite movie?” to which Cage snaps, “That’s impossible to answer! You can’t just pick one!” For Cage, it’s all gorgeous sunsets and jumping off cliffs until Tiffany Haddish’s CIA agent shows up. She alerts him that Pascal’s character is a wanted man, and it’s up to Cage to take him out.

Demi Moore joins. Pics from a pickup shoot yesterday in LA..... Get back to your Westerns, Cage! Hmmmmmmmmm........yesterday huh? Sounds like he's had an interesting week - there's video too on the Sun website but I haven't looked at it..... Nicolas Cage was reportedly kicked out of a restaurant after he got drunk and was mistaken for a homeless man.
The National Treasure actor, 57, was filmed being escorted out of Lawry's Prime Rib near the famous Las Vegas strip last week.
He had been drinking expensive whiskey and shots of tequila before getting into a drunken tiff with staff, it's claimed.

www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/nicolas-cage-gets-drunk-kicked-25064709Yikes that's just a pretty sad vid.....I wish it was a stunt for this movie (which'd be clever) but idk.... every now and then he gets caught day-drunk (but alone?!) and often it's in that calm, sober place Las Vegas. He should take a tip from the title he won the Oscar for and LEAVE !
