They nominated Cate Blanchett for that forgotten flop Bernadette. So Globes.

I can't follow without visuals. I also didn't hear no Asians called. Is this shaft the slant-eye day?

Not bad, but kind of boring. No De Niro and surprise nom for Todd Phillips. Not too much that changes the game.

Well lucky I changed what I was predicting to win BP last night because of the stat about if a director misses at the Globes, their film doesn't win Best Picture at the Oscars, so no Marriage Story or Jojo Rabbit.

Lead Actor is still impossible to predict. But De Niro is looking more vulnerable... this is a big push for Pryce who is also going to get a BAFTA nom.

Pretty sure De Niro didn't get a nomination because he's receiving the Cecil B DeMille award. I've been told it's more unlikely for people who won that award to be nominated.

Pretty sure De Niro didn't get a nomination because he's receiving the Cecil B DeMille award. He already has it. He also didn't get nominated Silver Linings Playbook and has only 1 globe in his career. These pricks don't seem to like him.

Pacino and DiCaprio move up in the all-time acting nods now. DiCaprio positioning himself at some point for all time male leader - in film and maybe overall down the road at this pace:
Career Golden Globe nomination leaders (Male):
1. Jack Lemmon - 22; 16 film + 6 TV 2. Al Pacino - 18; 15 film + 3 TV 3. Jack Nicholson - 17 all film 4. Leonardo DiCaprio - 12 all film 5. Dustin Hoffman - 12; 11 Film + 1 TV

They nominated Cate Blanchett for that forgotten flop Bernadette. So Globes. I agree. They could have given that spot to either Julianne Moore for Gloria Bell or Charlize Theron for Long Shot.

I think I got it confused with him received the SAG lifetime award. Looks like his performance wasn't considering impressive enough for the HFPA.
