Joker back on top. Pretty sure that's a typo on Deadline's part in regards to Zombieland 2 as well. Should be 58% not 68%, still that's a hefty drop. deadline.com/2019/10/joker-maleficent-2-black-and-blue-countdown-halloween-box-office-weekend-1202769043/THUMB RANK FILM DIS. Could someone please explain to me why Netflix can't report gross? Look at how well lighthouse is doing in limited release. It is considered a hit and a success. Why can't Netflix do that???

Because Netflix isn't a normal movie studio. When they generally release a movie in theaters it's usually only limited and for Oscar consideration (Roma, The Irishman etc...). As much as it greatly annoys me when they do that (I mean Amazon releases numbers), the movies are expected to make more of their money on streaming. A24 in comparison is an actual movie movie studio, and something critically acclaimed like The Lighthouse, is where they are expected to make most, if any of their money from, so they obviously tend to stay in theaters much longer.

Fantastic for the Joker. Parasite continues to pull in impressive numbers, however looks The Lighthouse has slowed down a bit, might not even make 10 million at this rate. deadline.com/2019/10/joker-maleficent-2-black-and-blue-countdown-halloween-box-office-weekend-1202769043/THUMB RANK PIC DIS SCRS(CG) FRI SAT SUN 3-DAY TOTAL WK 1 Joker WB/VR/Bron 3,936 (-154) $5.4M $8.2M $5.3M $18.9M (-35%) $277.6M 4 2 Maleficent 2 Dis 3,790 $4.8M $8.2M $5.7M $18.5M (-50%) $65.4M 2 3 Addams Family MGM/UAR 4,207 (+105) $2.8M $5.2M $3.7M $11.7M (-28%) $72.8M 3 4 Zombieland 2 Sony 3,468 $3.4M $5M $3.2M $11.6 (-57%) $47M 2 5 Countdown STX 2,675 $3.1M $3.5M $2.3M $9M $9M 1 6 Black And Blue Sony 2,062 $3M $3.2M $2M $8.3M $8.3M 1 7 Gemini Man Par/Sky 3,008 (-634) $1.1M $1.8M $1.1M $4M (-52%) $43.3M 3 8 Lighthouse A24/Reg 586 (+578) $1.3M $957K $840K $3.1M (+626%) $3.6M 2 9 The Current War 101 1,022 $948K $1M $764K $2.73M $2.73M 1 10 Abominable DW/Pearl/Uni 2,196 (-451) $490K $900K $610K $2M (-43%) $56.8

I thought by joining the MPAA they became a regular studio?

Maleficent may just crawl over $100M if it's lucky.Joker's numbers are still amazing.I'm not sure anyone could've predicted it would do this well. The Lighthouse is doing pretty great imo, I'm impressed a black and white arthouse film has made it into the top 10.

It means they don't even have to report grosses.
