Marriage Story certainly could have been, if it were given a proper release.

Quite a few I reckon. Frozen 2 Terminator:Dark Fate Jumanji:The Next Level Star Wars:The Rise of Skywalker and, yeah I'm just gonna say it,I think Cats will make over a $100M.

I’m not on my regular computer, so I’m too lazy to look it up on here. In addition to those movies though I would add these that I can remember from the top of my head: A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood Doctor Sleep - Not sure, but I see a lot of ads for it and I guess there’s nostalgia for The Shining even if it’s a different cast. 1917 - Not sure this will be that big, but if it gets great reviews, it could halve legs over the holidays. Spies in Disguise - Kids will probably still be seeing Frozen 2, but it could make a lot I guess since so many people go see movies during winter break.

I think Dark Fate is gonna be a bomb. Might get saved by overseas revenue, but I think domestically it's gonna fail.

I wanted to say Ford v Ferrari but it will get wrecked by Frozen 2 from it's second weekend. I doubt it will have good legs to surpass $100m but it's surely not impossible.

Apart from the ones already mentioned, Maleficent 2 is going to reach $100 million unless it ends up having Dumbo-level bad legs. Downton Abbey won't hit the mark, but it'll get close just like Rocketman did (if only Rocketman opened closer to Oscar season...). If everything goes right, there could be 11 more $100 million films for 2019.

I don't know about Doctor Sleep. Just doesn't scream 100 mill grosser to me. As for the new Terminator movie, if it does cross $100, I think it will barely do so. Having trouble deciding if Last Christmas will pull it off though cause it could go either way. It looks like one of those that will make it or barely miss the mark.

After It and It chapter 2, I think the major Stephen King adaptations will be BO hits. It may not reach $100 mil but it will be close. As for Dark Fate, well Genisys did 90 mil, so why not DF? After all, it is supposed to be a direct sequel to T2, it's an original James Cameron story and Linda Hamilton is back on the franchise.

Dark Fate will probably make it but the reception to the trailers haven't been that great. It was able to get over due to the popularity of Stranger Things. As you can see people didn't find the adult part that interesting. The jury is still out on Stephen King stories, remember the remake of Pet Sematary made approx. 55 mil. Yes this is a sequel to a very popular movie but still that doesn't mean people want to see this movie. The reception hasn't been that great trailer wise.

Actually I liked both trailers but believe both movies will be mediocre at best... And King's adaptations doing at least 50 mil in the BO is a big improvement. The old days most of his films were VHS/VOD productions or awful b-movies.

He must be getting paid big time now cause nearly all of his books have or will be adapted into something.

I don't think anything is going to help Terminator at this point, not even Thanksgiving.Doctor Sleep's numbers are so disappointing,I didn't think it was going to be a massive hit but I thought it would do better than that. The marketing for this has been awful.

Yeah, I guess there's not much nostalgia for Doctor Sleep especially since it's not directed by Stanley Kubrick. Also agree about the marketing, and after seeing a sneak preview last week, I feel like it probably won't be a word of mouth hit either. I actually liked it, but it's somewhat slow. I'm not sure why they didn't release it before Halloween; although there was already Joker and It Chapter 2, but that would have made more sense. They could have even had it open last week by with switching dates with Motherless Brooklyn. Looking ahead to this week, I don't know if Last Christmas could reach 100 million, but maybe it could have legs if it's enough of a crowd pleaser. I expect both Midway and Playing With Fire are going to flop. Then, there's Ford v Ferrari the week after which will probably do well since it doesn't look like there's going to be much competition that week at least going by how little the Charlie's Angels' soundtrack sold in its first week. Then it should be all Frozen 2 and A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood I guess until Jumanji: Next Level opens.

Reviews are decent, but presales are kinda "eh", and it's not doing well internationally. A lot of reports of it underperforming, and it's slow tone might be a turnoff to audiences. At least the budget is reasonable though, so it shouldn't be a straight-up box office disaster or anything.

That was either way a plus for another King movie being released just two months later.
