Fifteen years? Jesus, I feel old.
Season 5 narrowly beats out Season 7 for me. This is the rare show where it got better with each season (save for 3, which was a stumble while they had to work with radically shifting storylines because of behind-the-scenes drama), with Seasons 5 through 7 being one of the greatest runs any show ever had. Season 6 doesn't feel distinct enough to really categorize it, as I feel it's really basically a prologue to Season 7, but Walton Goggins and CCH Pounder give the greatest supporting performances of any TV show in those seasons.

Also, can we just agree that Dani and Julien should've been the cops killed in Season 4 that precipitated that whole subplot ? I liked them, but after the first few seasons they became so superfluous to the story and I feel they would've added much more of a weight than Carl and Scooby . |
